I bought this to make organic, homemade Dulce de Leche. You can ask Google or ChatGPT on the proper and safe way to do this since you are boiling a metal can and the water has to be maintained 2" deep over the can for the 2.5 hours of cooking. I keep seeing videos and articles about making your own creamer at home. Since most creamers and heavy cream have ingredients that I'm trying to stay away from now, I decided to do just that and I doubt I'll buy ready made creamer again. The recipe I use is 1 can of sweetened condensed milk - this one specifically, 1 cup half and half, 2 cups whole milk, 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of pure almond extract. Shake or stir and there you are. Creamer made with just a few ingredients. It tastes good and you can vary the milk and extracts as you please. I know the can says 14 ounces but measured out, it's exactly 1 cup. It's just the right sweetness, too. Once made, my creamer smells similar to homemade ice cream. In fact, I'm tempted to freeze some just to see what happens. ... show more
