This product is perfectly suitable for replacement in specified Ford vehicles, but no one tells you how to install it with ease. You need to look for the cable release junction box mounted right on the top rail behind the driver's side headlight. One cable enters the rear, two cables exit the front. Open that junction box and disconnect that single cable entering from the rear. Now you have all the slack you need to get the interior latch assembly connected. After installing the interior assembly, reconnect the cable in the junction box. DO NOT CLOSE THE HOOD BEFORE GETTING ALL CABLES RE-ATTACHED. ... show more

Was exactly what I was looking for. Took it to the station when we got our car inspected and they put it in so I can't say how easy it would be to install. Videos show you how to do it and it looks pretty easy. So far, good value for the money!
