I have been welding over 20 years. I do not consider myself professional but I am a dam good welder. My preference in equipment is miller. I got this because I’m going from place to place and job to job and I didn’t want to lug around 200+lb in big equipment for small odd welding jobs. Well let me tell you I was blown away at how consistent the arc is on this machine. This thing has amazing power and penetration ability. I did change out the cheap ground clamp for a 300 amp rated brass spring clamp. It made the welds even more consistent and ran a bead consistent with expensive well known brands. I ran some 1/4 Steel just to see if it would lay a good bead down and penetrate and it did that with ease I could have probably gone just a bit up in size in material but I didn’t want to push it. All in all this thing seems very well built and it appears the quality control on these things is top notch. I’d recommend this all day for a reliable and powerful all in one welder for at home or light professional use. I am blown away at how great of a deal this is.

Ive welded so much with this. I cant believe how easy it is to use. Very handy for car stuff. Mostly small sheet metal and body work. I also use it for heavier stuff and turn it all the way up for that. Gets good penetration. would use far anything super duper thick or heavy.

Disclaimer: I'm a complete beginner at flux core welding - and honestly, this little machine is making the learning process a blast. Performance: Paired with "HZXVOGEN Flux Core Welding Wire .035, E71T-GS," this machine is a joy to use - almost no spatter! I was genuinely surprised. In MMA mode, it has a very aggressive "Hot Start" feature. And I mean VERY aggressive - it seems to fire up at maximum available current, then settles down to your specified setting after about a second. I've only tested this with 2.5mm 6013 rods so far. No "Hot Start" or "Arc Force" adjustment is available - but honestly, it still performs great out of the box. Anti-stick protection works well - at least in my experience, it's been forgiving and beginner-friendly. Overall build quality is solid. Feels like a proper tool. Flux wire management and installation are user-friendly and straightforward. I had it set up and running in no time. One caveat - buying "Used - Very Good": I purchased mine as "Used - Very Good" and was assured I had nothing to worry about. That turned out to be a mistake. The unit arrived without welding tips, no welding wire was included, and the case was deformed with cracked plastic parts, likely from some kind of impact. The only contact tip installed was a .030, not the correct .035. Thanks to a 3D printer, baking soda, and super glue, I managed to fix the major issues. Not ideal - I just wanted to start welding, not repairing the welder! But the fact that I got it working and still love using it says something about this machine. If you're buying used, verify the box contents and the actual condition before accepting it. Conclusion: Despite the rough start, this welder has won me over. It works, it works well, and I genuinely look forward to firing it up. For the price, it's a fantastic tool and a perfect starting point for anyone wanting to learn flux core welding. Highly recommended - just buy it new if you can! 4 stars: 5 for functionality, 3 for the condition of the "used" item I received. Update: Great news - the aggressive Hot Start in MMA mode can be avoided by switching to TIG mode and welding with regular MMA electrodes. Tested with 2.5mm 6010 and 3.2mm 6013 rods, works with both polarity types. Problem solved!
