I had purchased the 2200i Companion model locally but stores in my area didn't have the 2200i standard model. Having both would allow me to use parallel cables (purchased separately) to power the AC on my RV. I was hesitant to order online due to possible damage during shipping but I went ahead with the order from Amazon sold by Jacks Small Engines. The generator arrived two days after ordering in perfect condition - brand new in the factory box. Thanks to Jacks Small Engines for the order and delivery updates, the fast service, and for a great product. I unboxed it, added oil and fuel, and started it up with no problems. Note that the first start-up (with no fuel in the lines) takes a few extra pulls but after that, it starts on the first or second pull. These little Honda generators are so quiet, easy to move around and provide all the power I need for my RV and also for home backup power. Previous Honda engines that I have owned have been extremely reliable, and with proper maintenance, I expect that this generator will provide years of service. ... show more

Quiet, works perfect, its a Honda. You cant but it here on Amazon if your live in Kalifornia (unknown why) but the bluetooth and other functions are very nice. Send it to a friend out of state and collect it later. I did have to spray a little starter fluid in it to get it started first time, (thats to be expected IMO) ... show more

The generator helped us survive the countless blackouts resulting from Hurricane Helene and definitely lived up to the Honda reputation of exceptional quality…it started on the first crank approximately 95% of the time. BTW…Please ensure that the third party merchant is not selling you a refurbished unit as new…it could lead to major health concerns if carbon monoxide is leaking into the garage. ... show more

    • Had for several yrs. now. Hasn't failed to start (yet).
So this brand is probably the (most) pricey. It replaced another brand starting with "G" which conked-out with a failed ignition after less than 100hrs. use. I didn't want this problem repeated so I ponied up $ for the Honda. I only used these units for emergency power outages so they tend to sit in unheated storage. I put gas treatment in them and run them every fall to be sure the unit runs before winter. So far, the Honda has been a little bit reluctant to start (over time) but has never failed to start. It hasn't had many hrs. of necessary usage (for power outages). I don't regret buying it. When you need it, you need it. You need a reliable machine. ... show more
