Looks like a genuine Honda part, but at a price that would make you wonder. No matter though, it installed in minutes and the engine started 2nd pull and runs like new. Just remember to buy a gasket set when you replace the carburetor. Highly recommend this carburetor.

Carb worked great. Installed it on a GX160 Honda engine which is mounted on my TruCut mower. It is a OEM direct replacement part which fit perfectly without any modification. The throttle linkage is a bit of a pain to adjust. Also, in my application I did need two base plate gaskets as there is a plastic spacer between the carburetor and the cylinder head of the motor. Once installed, the motor started on the first pull. Great product, fair price sold by a small business which in many ways is the back bone of our U.S. Economy.     • Worked like a charm, but I'm not convinced its OEM despite the OEM looking packaging.
Came in a honda box, looks like exactly OEM, hard to be sure. I called the local dealer who quoted me $79 for this carb. Its really hard to believe the price difference if this is indeed OEM. Bolted it up, compressor started on the first pull. Good product, easy to install, just two wingnuts, remove the air cleaner, two 10mm (head size) nuts from the side, one bolt on the top, pull the plastic carb cover off then as you slide the carb off the studs, push the fuel line off with a pair of needle nose (careful, fuel will come out, have a golf tee handy or use the 10mm bolt to plug the hose), disconnect the throttle control rod and spring slide off the rest of the way and reassemble in reverse order. New gaskets would be advised, but be sure to get the correct ones, Amazon suggested a gasket set in their "people who bought that, also bought this" and it was wrong, like completely the wrong parts. So at least its free shipping back and I am guessing that Amazon lost money on this deal, paying for the return shipping on the gasket set. Its important to only use ethanol free gas in these small gas engines, unless you be sure to run all fuel out every time you use it. Ethanol gas will ruin carbs, the alcohol content absorbs water, the water separates out in the carb bowl, then it rusts, then the next time you start the engine, the rust flakes will clog the carb jets. ... show more

    • Economical fix for your Honda engine
The carburetor was almost exact to the Honda original equipment. It worked fine. If it wasn’t for ethanol gasoline, the original carburetor would be still working.

Perfect fit for my Honda GX160. You can not go wrong with OEM. I put this on and I didn’t even have to tune it. She fired on the first pull and runs like new.

Got it sooner than expected, Fits as supposed to, however I did not realize that it did not come with a mounting gasket. While it did not say it was supposed to come with one, I think it should. So when i got it I had to make an extra trip down to the parts store to pick one up. If you order this product also make sure to order a gasket. ... show more

Couldn’t start the Honda engine on my Northern Tool 2” water pump. Ordered the Honda replacement carburetor. Perfect fit. Much to my surprise, the engine started on the first pull.
