Great bookcase. Nice and sturdy. If you decide to assemble yourself be aware that it is pretty well assembled in the box and thus awkward to move. I had to take it up a flight of stairs myself and as a result caused slight damage to the product. My bad. Still the perfect bookcase for me. Bookcase is fairly sturdy, though the metal is pretty light-weight. Whatever happened to thick metal? The shelf has 90 degree folded edges front and back so that helps to support it. Arriving without needing assembly was a plus. These are appropriate in a location where the look of the furniture is not that important. I ordered 4 of these over two orders. Two of the bookcases arrived dented. In both cases it appeared that at some point both were dropped on a corner. Damage was not visible until units were unpacked. It's not fancy looking but it sure holds a lot of books and is plenty stable. I put the heavier books on the bottom. I got mine from Shoplet through Amazon marketplace and it was delivered quickly. Perfectly packed. Well cushioned caps top and bottom with each edge well cushioned. it was easy to unpack. Leaving the bottom cap on makes it easy to slide around and position on carpet to where you want to place it. Sure was nice not to have the hassle of putting together one of those short-lived particle board pieces of junk that I have been buying. Keep in mind that it's a little heavy and somewhat awkward to handle so you might need a little help placing it. ... show more
