This is a really nice solution to closet floor clutter. This is sturdy enough to be loaded with shoes, but don't plane on storing your iron or anything dense and heavy like that. It's not that hard to put together, though I decided that I would zip tie EVERY connection so that was a little challenging to get the zip tie wrapped around where it should be. Not enough zip ties were included to zip tie every connection so I used my own. Some things to remember. Follow the directions on the order in which you build the elements of the organizer, or you're gonna have a bad time. Also, do make sure each panel is fully locked into the connector. Honestly, I read previous reviews and I initially thought the product was going to be some flimsy plastic plates I had to snap together. Glad I was wrong! Overall, here are my pros and cons lists: Pros: 1. SUPER easy to put together - Originally, I didn't use the instructional manual, but even then it only took me about 40 minutes total to make the cubes properly. It also came with the little hanger set and most importantly, the small hammer! It's super useful to find the clicks (look to cons #2). 2. Holds up great - I thought it was plastic sheets, but it's actually almost cloth-like fabric held around wires. Might sound and feel flimsy, but it actually holds very well to weight. I recommend putting the heaviest things on the lowest cube though. 3. Compact design - I myself am vertically challenged (I'm short...) but these things are basically perfect for a neat cubby for toys or a sleek shelf to show off your collectibles. It'll really depend on what color you buy (personally, I bought black, but the white shade will do the same effect.) and where you put it. Cons: 1. Price - It's not as cheap compared to other brands, however, the price difference is only by a few dollars. If you want to save money, you could in time find better, but this is still an acceptable price. 2. You need the CLICK - If you haven't seen a few other reviews, you need to know that when you're building it you need to hear at least 2 clicks to know for sure the caps are on the wires right. The hammer is pretty helpful here. The only problem I had with that was it was very difficult to get that click when it came to the intersections in the middle of my shelf. and if you mess up, you might find it difficult to get off initially. 3. Smaller than I thought - Personally I thought the product was going to be bigger squares, but they were a few inches off my initial vision. While this didn't really affect me, (again, I'm short I don't mind) it might affect others when they are planning a room's design. But as long as you at least pay attention to everything with measurements you'll be fine. Overall, the product is nearly perfect, as long as you don't mind taking out an hour of your day to put it together. It is a decent price, and it's a decent product. This product is essentially the same as those thick, bulky wood cube shelves you commonly see. This in my opinion is SO much better though. I was looking for a toy organizer for my baby’s room and wanted to try doing “toy rotation”; in which you let them play with a small number of toys, then rotate to another set of toys. You can do it every day, week, or every so often. Most of the wood ones cost $50 minimum and I am not the most handy mom. Other different types of toy organizers were just obnoxiously expensive. This was cheap, and easy to put together. It is really stiff / hard plastic which I appreciate because it puts up with heavy wooden toys and books without any issue. It was a bit of a pain to put together because my hands started to hurt while smushing all the bits into place, so my husband and I took turns at it. I love that it comes with multiple bits and I have the option to customize it as 1 or two towers or have it horizontal. It is extremely light which is nice and it breaks apart into a flat stack for easy transport if you gotta move, which is great as well. ... show more

    • Nicer than I expected for the price

The assembly process was as little bit trickier than I expected due to the interlocking nature of all the pieces, it's a minor pain to go back and fix any mistakes you may make during the assembly process, especially if you don't notice them right away -- but it was still easy to build overall. This organizer definitely seems best for "lightweight" bathroom stuff -- towels, toilet paper rolls, miscellaneous toiletries, etc. While the shelf material is sturdier than I expected, I still definitely wouldn't suggest trying to store anything heavy on these shelves. Once assembled, the whole unit is pretty lightweight, but it seems pretty structurally sound and stable. As long as I don't try to store anything heavy on it, as mentioned, I don't have any concerns about the structural integrity or durability of the unit. While I didn't exercise the option, the ability to assemble the cubes in different configurations -- 2x3, 3x2, or even an irregular triangle shape if you feel like being quirky for some reason -- is a nice bonus. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase, especially for the low price. ... show more
