In all fairness this would have been 4.5 stars, but between 4 and 5 I feel 5 is closer. The chairs are well made, solid, and easy to assemble. It took me about 15 minutes per chair working alone. They provide plenty of bolts, washers etc. (8 of everything per chair are needed, I found 22 of each, so 6 spares). Assembly is metal on metal, nothing that can break. I am certain these chairs will last longer than me. Minor complaints: There are minor scratches. The rubber caps at end of legs are not fully screwed in, you need to screw them in completely yourself. One of the 2 chairs has a slight wobble (not all 4 legs touch the ground), but there is enough "give" so that when you sit the wobble is gone. The holes don't align perfectly - the way I deal with that is partially tightening bolts, then alternately tightening them. Never tighten completely until all bolts are in position and partially tightened. ... show more

Regarding the assembly: it wasn't as quick as one reviewer stated (i.e. 15 minutes). It took more than an hour to assemble due to the difficulty in getting the bolts to align with the holes but also to tighten them with the Allen wrench which doesn't maneuver well in some of the areas due to limited space. It can be put together by one person, but I would recommend two. Also, we noticed the powder coating was thin and can easily be scratched which I found disappointing. Regarding the sturdiness and functionality: so far, so good but time will tell. As far as the looks and the size: that was part of the attraction to buy them. They are being used in my courtyard area at the front of my home. They are a good size and pretty to look at. But again, time will tell how well they hold up to the rain, sun and daily use. ... show more

I’ve only put one chair together but I am very happy with the quality and looks. Even with my arthritis it was easy to put together. I wish the back was higher, but that’s on me, the dimensions were clear. They are keepers!
