This is the husband. I assembled this Kitchen Center this afternoon. I am age 68 and have built kitchen islands, cabinets as well as assembling knock down kits since my teens. This is the BEST kit I ave ever assembled. The quality is outstanding and the instructions are crystal clear. The fit is perfect and the finish is beautiful. This is PERFECT! Very sturdy. Rolls across my floor with ease so I can sweep and mop. The drawers are sturdy, and I have no problems with the doors opening, shutting or staying shut. Love the spice rack and paper towel holder. Works great in a small kitchen. We took out our table and got this to add more storage and take up less space since we eat at the bar in the den every day any ways. It is great for extra counter space when I need to chop or cut up items because I don't have much in the way of counter space. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ***UPDATE**** Have had this for almost 1 1/2 yrs and it is still just as great as the day we assembled it. This is by far the best purchase we have made from Amazon. I am thinking of buying another one for another room.

I got more shelves from Home Depot which will cut the board for free, I went with a white board that already has water proof layering plus its white except need a white paint marker for the front edges (didn’t think abut that) and bought the peg brackets on amazon. I used the L brackets for the cart w drawers & spoon brackets for the cart w all shelves. I would say the pre drilled holes are 6mm so my L brackets are alittle lose because I ordered the 5mm but just got the brackets to get the extra shelves in cart. Originally the cart w drawers did hold my insta pot but the insta pot is tall so relocated it for more dish & pot room. The shelves are sturdy and same w the carts, I gave the 3 stars for storage as the two shelves that come with it does not optimize space and I even contacted Home Styles and you can not order separate shelves so it was not the easiest task especially for a night shifter to get to Home Depot to get shelves (why I amazon about everything). I was looking for the flip top carts and bought the all shelf cart first then this cart w the drawers in middle and actually have a their Home Styles cart with open shelves on order for going up against wall/window to make a wrap around counter. If you have an apartment that needs more counter &/or kitchen cabinets these are perfect! & doubles as a kitchen island. I also do agency nursing so with frequent moving these are great to just pack your stored items then two guys one on each end can easily carry and load the cart while it’s assembled, I actually just moved this month after getting these carts in December & January. But absolutely love them and the wheels are such a perk if your tight on space my other apartment I had these in an L shape one against wall other as an island and I have to roll the one cart so the dishwasher could open but the wheels make it beyond easy to move. Definitely love the carts, the wood comes in great shape nice stain, just wish Home Styles was easier to deal with for extra parts or damaged in shipping, but amazon does stand behind its products and shipping so I am very happy with Amazon customer service. On that note definitely look over the outside pieces before putting together as ups did great with shipping one the other has a little mark probably only noticeable to me because I put it together and looked it over, overall very happy with these purchases. The box when delivered is definitely heavy so if your not mr muscles I do recommend catching the ups guy so it gets at least into your door & then from there you can cut box open and take pieces out to where in house you need, the cart I just ordered Had option to schedule delivery to inside your door for free (or $15 ft to the room of choice). Def recommend & as you can tell def have bought again just different styles.

Received my unit this Thursday, dragged the enormous box into the house and there it sat until after dinner. Started assembly including opening and unpacking the parts at 7 pm, job was complete at 10:10! So easy. All pieces are real wood except for bottom board which is compressed wood. No issues with lining up the holes. I wonder if folks that had that issue used a left piece on the right side and vice-versa - idk. A few things: PROs: super easy assembly as noted pieces marked clearly including arrows letting you know what is up,down,front or back clear instructions with both pictures and written step by step - imagine that! doors stay closed, drawers slide easily with no issues sturdy as can be wheels lock solid CONs: length measurements include the spice rack and paper towel holder making the work surface a little smaller (my fault, should have read the description better) depth of unit (inside drawers and cabinets is a bit short for some items (can't use for plastic wrap boxes, rolling pins, etc) but deep enough for most kitchen utensils So far I am really happy with the purchase and I feel that I received a very good, solid product for my money. Hope this helps you in your decision. I looked at Kitchen island for a long time and some of the reviews of this one helped me make my final choice. Good Luck!
