It’s a good sight it’s looks professionally made and slick, everything work’s nicely with it but the only problem I’m having with it is the reticle brightness, it allows you to have 10 brightness settings but they aren’t significantly different from each other and even with the brightest option it’s still quite difficult to see the retical in the day sun just like the problem other people in the reviews are having. Update: after buying some new battery’s I can now see the retical a whole lot better in the sun and so I’ll be changing my review to 5 stars I would highly recommend this 558

I tried to like it. It is a eotech look alike. But the warped reticle, the lack of resilience under use, no holding zero at all. I literally watched my point of impact March right with every trigger pull. The reticle changes size and distorts big time as you move you line of sight. Maybe for an airsoft? I risked the money to see. I knew it was cheap, but not worth even that little bit.

I got this for my 177 pellet rifle, I have been trying to teach my nephew safety and how to use the pellet rifle. I thought that this might help him with learning how to properly use sights and how to adjust for different types of lighting. I got this model simply because it uses AA batteries so if he forgets to turn it off and runs down the batteries, I can just charge them again. Overall a pretty decent unit it took me a little bit to get her zeroed in, but not too bad at 40 yards. The red sight is more of an evening site or indoor site and the green is for sunny conditions. You can use the red but it does get washed out a bit in bright light. I would say that you could use this on a paintball gun but the front sights glass is mirrored so you'll be easily spotted and we don't want that. For the price point of this unit it's a winner in my book for your pellet guns and for just fun. Glad I got this

This optic (553) is definitely for airsoft use only. I had no issues with reticle brightness. There was a “double ghost” reticle when on the highest brightness setting and is definitely too bright for Night vision on the lowest setting. But as a basic red dot for airsoft it is fine.

The green radical was barely bright. Power was unable to be increased. Red radical very bright, but green was barely visible. I put in for a replacement so we will see if the next one works correctly. Seems like a great site so hopefully the next one works perfectly. Really like the AA design since they are easy to find an access.

It looks super cool and I like that it's easy to detach from the rail, but it's far too dim to use outside. Additionally, there is a bit of a ghost sight behind the actual sight. The sight adjustments were flipped to, up is down left is right. I did not realize these drawbacks until the prime return date had passed. I tried to reach out to the actual manufacturer to ge a refund or replacement, but I cant even find them on Google.

Look if you're on a budget and don't want to spend $600 on an eotech I guess this one will do the trick. I saw this and had to try it out for kicks. It will hold zero and keep after several shots. It has pretty good battery life. However, this thing is extremely bright, and the lowest setting still keeps it pretty bright. So, no using night vision with this unit, what do you want for $100.00 or less than $100.00. This will do in a pintch, I'm not confident that I would use this in a situation where my life depended on it but it's well made, very good knock off of the real thing. I currently have it on an Air soft gun which for that it's perfect because it looks like the real thing. But if you need to use this on a real firearm it will work.
