The table is a great quality. We had an old piling that we wanted to cover. We used faux stack stone wrap box and this table top. Love that it's solid poly-type-faux-wood. First off: this topper is phenomenal for my needs. We attached a lazy susan to the bottom of it and use it to play Marvel United with our official play mat. It works great, and make the game a lot easier to play with kids. Secondly, and the reason for the reduction of a star, the first topper we received was very badly damaged, and likely before packaging as the box it arrived in was pristine. I took a few photos and sent them over to Holland Bar Stool's customer service and they were very fast to respond and send out a replacement within a few days. A+ customer service provided, but a bit more QC prior to shipping would have been appreciated. ... show more

We used this table top as an economic countertop in my laundry room. The washer and dryer are 30" deep, so we purchased a base kitchen cabinet and have that flush to the front and this extends and covers the open space behind the cabinet. The grey coloring is beautiful. It is fairly heavy and please note that the edges have a slight angle to them, not straight, so allow a little wiggle room if you're using in a tight space as we did. It is like a poured polymer of some kind so we didn't attempt to cut or sand it. It appears to be very durable for indoor or outdoor use. ... show more

UPDATE! February 2024, IT has been 5 years since I have purchased this table top. It has sat outside all year, every year and looks the same as the day I bought it. TOTALLY one of the best purchases made on Amazon. Here is my original posting done in 2019This top came boxed and was so light, at first I was like oh no! After unboxing it, I could tell the material looks sturdy. I am full sun Colorado Mile high so as this table top adorns my back deck, it will surely be tested for its durability. Right now it easily rates five stars. Middle of January 2019, so fingers crossed it holds up to the elements!!!! Love the color, the finish and shape. I would not Even Consider drilling a hole into this. I plan on seating it down with good old fashioned clear caulk. It will make contact with the frame of the bistro table and not be seen, nor will it harm the top in any way. I considered using MDF or pine as a build out underneath and screwing it into the sides of the table but that seems to me to be over doing it. The edge extends down grabbing the bistro frame, so it will not slide once in place due to the lip of the table top. ... show more

I ordered two table tops and a different location sent the bases. The screws were too long and damaged the top of one the tables. Holland Bar Stool replaced the damaged top. Make sure you order the base from the same location as the Top. Even though the base was labeled Holland Bar Stool and was the recommended base, it shipped from a different place.
