I was having issues with cat hair pulling up on my laundered clothing. My condo association has the dryer vents cleaned from the outside and I was emptying the filter in the dryer, but it was not enough. I remove the lint trap and use this to get inside the dryer. Boy am I glad I did! Soooooo much lint it was blocked up. I don’t know why the lint trap didn’t catch all of this. My dryer works a lot better since I cleaned all the lint out.     • This cleaned my vent to the outside

I needed to clean my dryer vent that goes up the wall before a new dryer was install, so I bought this one for next day delivery. I didn't use the attachments for the drawer but did use the flexible rods. This worked like a charm. A few hints: 1) when using a variable speed drill use a middle speed and only use forward, 2) have two pliers handy to change the rods as the connection will get very tight from the right hand twisting, 3) have a shop vac handy for all the lint, 4) start using short sections to remove the near lint then add rods to get your distance and push the rods up into the vent , 5) you may want the drill as close to the vent opening other wise you will have twisted rods, and 6) do it several times going up and down until there is no more loose lint. When you have lots of length it can get awkward I would recommend this product as it is simple to use and effective and beats paying a handy man $100 or more to clean the vents. ... show more

Not a fan. It does gather most of the lint but then throws it on the ground and it is better to have a suction on the end of it. It does clean. Just keep a vaccum nearby. it does work.

Worked fine for deep cleaning the built up lint in my samsung dv218aew/xaa dryer. 10 years of hard use left a bunch of lint build up. This made it easy to reach all the inside place and give the dryer a good scrub. It should make the dryer more efficient. There only draw back is that it is hard to remove the lint from the brush. But at least it isn't in my dryer ... show more

This kit helps you clean up the drier vent and refrigerator coils. The drier vent brush with the threaded extensions works fine but for the vent I have it destroys the extensions because they twisted up instead of just the brush rotating. Luckily they gave me enough extensions to perform multiple cleanings. The brush definitely loosened and pulled a lot of built-up lint in the vent. I also used this kit to clean the refrigerator coils. The long brush does a good job of loosening and the narrow vacuum extension made it easy to suck up the dust/lint. A word of caution though - using this with my shop vac was very noisy. The narrowness of the extension caused a high-pitched whistle that was just short of painful to listen to. First off I would like to thank all the people who leave reviews. With out their help I would never buy some of this stuff. This brush really did the trick for me. My dryer would run even though the clothes where dry. After cleaning with the brush shorter drying time and it shuts off. It worked for me hopefully it will work for you ... show more

This brush works well (4-star) for cleaning out under appliances, but only moderately well (2-star) for cleaning close-fit refrigerator coils. (Hence, a 3-star average rating.) Basically, for cleaning out refrigerator coils the bristles need to be shorter and (most importantly) the wire core needs to be stiffer. The brush does clean out well using a vacuum cleaner fit with a crevice tool. ... show more

10-2.5 Ft screw on extensions work well. However, getting around bends of approx. 90 degrees may be difficult, especially if 10' or more down the line. Could use a 2nd Vent screw-on cleaner brush tool about half the diameter of current brush & conical shaped to bore through packed lint build up. Also if 1 of the extensions (to be used as the first in line) could be more flexible to get around hard corners, this would be helpful. ... show more
