I had a torn canopy from Harbor freight. I needed new grommets. The grommets didn't cut the material easily so I used this to prepunch grommet holes. With material out of the way the grommet maker made a very strong connection plus it was way easier to seat the grommets. It should be part of the grommet making kit if you ask me.

The Con - It's missing a cotter pin or something to hold one of the pins in place that hold it together. So when I used the first time the whole thing came apart. Literally it came completely disassembled. My husband put it back together and we used a jump ring from my jewelry making supplies to hold pin in place. The Pros - It cuts through the chipboard I intended it for beautifully. I have a few weeks left on return window, so I will use it as much as I can, then decide if it will hold together with our "diy fix" or I need to return. Seller needs to get a new batch made with missing part in place and save any future problems with these bad ones, in my opinion.
