I got Hogwarts Legacy for my 12-year-old daughter as a gift, and she absolutely loves it! She’s a huge Harry Potter fan, and this game brings the magical world of Hogwarts to life in a way that she can explore and interact with. She’s had so much fun creating her own character, learning spells, and exploring the castle and the surrounding areas. The level of detail in the game is incredible—she keeps pointing out little things that remind her of the books and movies. It’s been a joy to see her so immersed in the game. I played this on the PS5 and thought it was fantastic, so I was curious how the Switch version would hold up. From what I’ve seen, it runs just as smoothly, though the graphics are slightly downgraded. That said, it still looks great for a Switch game, and the portability makes it a fantastic option for gaming on the go. If you’ve got a young witch or wizard in your house—or if you’re a fan of the Wizarding World yourself—this is an easy recommendation. It’s magical, fun, and packed with adventure!

I have this particular title on my PS5 and my kids love to watch...or in many cases shove me over and play themselves. So of course with Christmas I got my second oldest (huge Harry Potter fan) this game for his Nintendo Switch. Graphics are excellent for a Nintendo Switch game. It does require some downloading directly to the handheld to help run how large and graphically intense this title is....but if you have plenty of unused disk space, you'll be just fine. If not...I would recommend an expanded memory microSD card to take the headache out of clearing your favorite games just to make space for new ones.

As a long-time fan of the Harry Potter series, I was excited to dive into Hogwarts Legacy on the Nintendo Switch. While I was initially concerned about how the Switch version would hold up compared to other platforms, I’m happy to report that it delivers a solid and immersive experience, albeit with a few technical limitations. Pros: Immersive Hogwarts Experience: The game does an incredible job of bringing the world of Harry Potter to life. From the detailed environments of Hogwarts and its grounds to the bustling atmosphere of Hogsmeade, every aspect feels authentic and rich. For fans of the series, it’s a joy to explore these iconic locations and interact with a variety of magical creatures, characters, and spells. Engaging Storyline and Quests: The main story is compelling, offering a fresh narrative that fits well within the established Harry Potter lore. Side quests and activities also add depth, allowing players to engage in tasks like potion brewing, spell casting, and even magical dueling. The storyline decisions players make affect how their journey unfolds, providing replayability for those who want to explore different outcomes. Portability and Convenience: Playing Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch allows for the convenience of gaming on the go. Despite being a massive, open-world game, it’s great to be able to jump in and out of Hogwarts whenever I have a spare moment. The ability to play in handheld mode is a major advantage for Switch users. European Version Compatibility: Despite being the European version, the game runs smoothly on my Switch console (purchased in North America).
