  • My kid loves it
My kid is a Harry Potter fan and loves this game. It doesn’t fit any of the plots from the 7 HP books. It has its own plot and set of characters, although the characters are related to the ones in the HP series. The story is set several generations before the HP timeline. Spells are fun to learn and accumulate, puzzles are just enough challenging. Graphics are very cool. I see similarities to Zelda, Breath of the Wild, which my kid also loves. Different layers of maps, lots of major quests and side quests, player choice of storyline etc etc. But my kid insists they are dramatically different. To my untrained eye I guess! Because you can choose your house, my kid is planning on going through the game from all four houses eventually. Apparently the level of difficulty and intricacies of story and challenges differ, so this will be like four games in one! Hours of entertainment and enjoyment which makes this a great buy. ... show more

  • Pc & switch.
I have the us version of the switch and the euro version works perfectly fine. I also have the game on steam for my pc and while the graphics are a bit better on the pc and the load times are less frequent… it’s still the same game and I highly recommend it

  • MY JAW DROPPED IM A MILLENNIAL LISTEN TO ME
This game is actually incredible. I just bought it a few weeks ago for my Switch, and I am absolutely blown away. The graphics are so insanely detailed, might look a bit better on a larger screen, but I always have that option with the Switch luckily. The castle is vast beyond what you would imagine. You can customize your character to your liking!! Allows for checkpoints throughout, and the story and characters are so solid. You get to go through Hogwarts as a fifth year, and learn all of the basics and then some. I can't wait to continue to play and see more and more of my CHILDHOOD unfold. It's amazing! ... show more

  • So much fun!
Can’t believe I put off buying this game. Think Assassin’s Creed meets Harry Potter. Really creative world building with super entertaining magical things going on in the background all the time. Great buy!

  • An amazing concept, but not well executed.
Hogwarts Legacy is an amazing concept, the storyline is good and the characters are somewhat relatable. However the switch version completely lacks. I own this game on both the PC and switch version and the PC version is much more impressive, both graphically and game wise. While the graphics are playable on the switch, having to wait over 1 minute to visit certain areas in the game is more than just annoying. Playing the game is fun, and I maxed it out over spring break, but after the main story it got boring. Most of the npcs don’t really connect with you, which is the same of the side quest characters as well. It’s not a hard game to play so you won’t need to have to move your thumbs fast either. One last thing, the game in the image says PEGI 16 but it’s really 12. It is the EU version of the game if that matters. ... show more

  • Must for all Harry Potter fans
Around 5-6 hours into the game, Nintendo sent me a survey about this game. At the time I was still in the earlier stages and I’m going to be honest I was a little bit bored. I gave it a some what of a low rating. But after that the game quickly showed a lot of variety in the game play. I love open world concepts and this I would say it’s half and half on the “open” part. There were areas I couldn’t visit or you can tell it’s not triggering till you get to certain stages. I’m a casual gamer and I think difficulty is not very hard. I’d say it’s more like a movie you can play in than a game that has some story lines. I’m almost done with the game and I gotta say there were a few things in this game that was really cool and I hope they add more things like that should they make a sequel. I think some of the common complaints were that there is a lot of repetitiveness in the game but for me it was okay. I’d play an hour or two every night before bed for unwind and I didn’t mind it much. I definitely recommend this game to a Harry Potter fan. Is it the greatest GAME? No I don’t think so if I’m being honest. ... show more
