I installed this ladder to access the floating Kayak dock from the main dock (during low tide). I like the feature that is collapsible, and I can fold it on to the dock when not in use. It did not come with instructions, but looking at the picture on the box sufficed.

We’ve had a variety of removable boarding ladders. This fixed extendable ladder gives much better security when boarding, yet is much less in the way than the others we’ve had. It seems very strong. One could get hurt by it, either by swinging it onto one’s head, or pinching ones hand when flipping it overboard. But in use that doesn’t seem very likely. The treads are deep enough to no be too painful on bare feet. The ladder width is pretty narrow for stepping blind backwards onto them, but that narrowness also probably gives more security in waves and rocking boat. ... show more

The steps are pretty well-built. A little smaller than what I had planned, but an accurate description. I put these on the end of my dock, not my boat they extend well into the water, and should allow the kids to climb out onto the dock easily.
