I actually ordered this umbrella/coat stand for my granddaughter. She makes and collects stick hobby horses and she needed somewhere to "tie them up". This coat rack was just perfect. I was a little concerned that it might tip over or wobble because her bedroom (aka the barn) has an older thick wall to wall carpet on the floor. No need to worry because it is standing up to the test! It even stays put when one of the horses is let out of his or her stall. It took some time to assemble, but was easy enough to put together as long as you went step by step. The hooks are very sturdy and hold all of her "tack". We didn't add the third section because she would not have been able to reach it, but honestly, this thing loaded to the teeth and stands firm. This is a great coat rack. I bought the white rack. It went together easily. Having two people helped, holding and handing screws and other pieces helped. To prevent the tipping over mentioned in some reviews - I put some heavy stuff in the bottom shelf area, books and a big rock to stabilize with weight. This rack seems to be good quality - thick enough metal pieces and a screw in the center of each of the tubes that create the tower part for extra strength and support. Rack arrives in a small rectangular box, so "some assembly required". Directions are clear, every part is marked and the bolts come in small, marked bags (we had 3 extra bolts when we were done). There are a couple of steps where you really need a second set of hands to hold the rack while you screw in the next bolt. Bolts are supposed to go in finger tight and most did, but about 10% required the included Allen wrench as the holes did not line up exactly (once the rack is complete, you go back over and tighten all the bolts).
