The Ho Stevie! surfboard bike rack is recommended for surfboards up to 8 feet long. It can work with longer boards, but it makes it more difficult. Carrier arms can be adjusted to fit your surf board and bike.Rack can be used with or without board bag/sock. Foam covered arms prevent dings or scratches on your surfboard.Bungee cords secure your surfboard like a baby in its mother's loving arms.Quickly remove arms or rotate inward when not carrying your surfboard, to reduce obstruction. How to Install Your Surfboard Bike Rack Installing this surfboard rack on your bike is simple and fast... it only takes a few minutes! The only tool you need is an allen key, and that's included. If you don't feel comfortable installing the surfboard rack on your bike, any local bike shop should be able to assist you. 1. Depress the spring lock, and slide lower carrying hook into upper arm. Read more 2. Secure the mount to your bike's seat post, by using the included allen wrench and 4 bolts. Read more 3. Insert arms into mount piece. I got an email immediately after placing my order with instructions and customer service information in case I need extra help. Product arrived earlier than schedule, and I'm in Hawaii. The box included the instructions loo n paper and was a 5 minutes instalation process. It's made of high quality and makes my bike look newer with the awesome colors. Upon contacting this company via email, they respond fast and they go the extra mile. I am still experimenting with it, but the main issues for me have been: 1. getting the rack to not twist on seat stem/ neck. One reviewer used a rubber shim. I will try same as the metal on metal does get movement and I feel as if I might strip the bolts if i tighten them any more. 2. I am wondering if there is a weight limit. My board is a 7 foot fish style but finished with double glass similar to a 70's models. I will try with a lighter board and see how it goes. ... show more

This rack works perfectly on my Tern GSD to hold my board, leaving enough room for the storage bags in the back and not impending pedaling motion nor steering in the front, so I'm really happy with it, especially for this price! The only drawback so far is the installation, it's pretty tedious to have to screw 8 bolts and having to use an hex key. ... show more

Great for cruising to the beach. Holds the board securely and keeps it off your legs while riding. Took a little adjusting to get it balanced right, but once set up, it works perfectly.
