I’m really impressed with how much volume this messy bun adds. I have thin hair, and this makes it look like I spent way more time on an updo than I actually did. And so much more fuller. Texture & Feel: The synthetic fibers are surprisingly soft and don't have that "plastic" shine that some extensions have. It blends seamlessly with my natural hair. I am literally thrilled with this little hair piece. I had low expectations going in, but was quickly surprised. The fast summary is the synthetic hair looks natural and the hair piece takes no experience to use. A total win when whether you need a fast hair remedy when you're running late or have a fancy night out. Works well with all hair types, but a total game changer for short and VERY fine hair. My hair is very short, so I don't think the hair piece looks natural (or even "right") in a half up half down situation for me, but I am able to bobby pin my shorter lower pieces to the base of my head and put on a wrap headband to cover that makes it look like a messy top knot only. I also found that triple tying it and wrapping a scrunchie around the base did bring the volume down to where I could probably wear it half up and half down. I bought this to try to find a solution to having to quickly pop over to the store on a bad hair day. With short fine hair, putting what I was able to in a pony tail wasn't cutting it. This is PERFECT for disguising a bad hair day when I don't have 30 minutes or more to fix it! Secure with a couple of bobbi pins (which are helpfully included if you don't have or can't find any) and you are good to go! What I didn't expect was how much I really LOVED the look and discovered this would easily work for nights out and even formal occasions. To think the money I could have saved getting my hair done as a bridesmaid SEVRAL times when this $10 solution would have given the same results! I have had less than a week (but played around with it as seen in these photos), so I can't speak to long term sturdiness, but at $10 the risk is low. That said, I don't see any indication that it was poorly made or that it won't last for a while. I actually bought two for color matching purposes and had planned to return one, but I'm keeping both! Both blonde shades worked well in my hair. The lighter of the two just makes it look like I have heavier bleached ends, like an ombre look, and still looks natural! If deciding between two colors and don't want to order more than one, I would suggest go to the one that looks like it would be lighter, if anything, as that will look like naturally grown out color.

Super cute, but they don’t last long without tangling, I was looking for something as I used to have another pair of these from a different brand and slightly different looking, I loved those because they are fun and spiked kind of grunge look, but unfortunately the tangle up super quick just putting them on and taking off and I’ve only worn them three times, and I wear wigs and clip ins and ponytail/buns of all kinds so I’m very familiar with how to maintain them to the best quality:( the elastic also is very weak and will snap quick trying to put them on, super bummed, I might still buy again for a concert or festival look but they are very short lived unfortunately:(

UPDATE: As I was searching for a different hair piece, I came across a different "messy bun" listing from the same brand that looked like the one I received. So either they sent me the wrong one or they are misrepresenting what they show they are selling in this listing. Either way, I can no longer trust this brand. I've ordered this same hair piece before and I really liked it! It had a good amount of hair and the color was good. So when I needed to get another one I ordered this one again, although I had to search for it because the page I originally ordered it from said it was currently unavailable. So I searched and found It on a new page same brand and same picture. But when this one came I was very disappointed with it. While the color was an even better match than the previous one, the quality was terrible! The volume of hair seemed like half as much as the previous one and the styling of it was really wonky and just bad! I should have just returned it then, but decided to try and make it work, and it just does not look good! I finally gave up and went back to my old one which is really starting to look pretty ratty now, but it still looks better than the other one! So I'm now past my return window and still just so unhappy with this hair piece! Hopefully I can find a better one from a different seller.
