Great but not perfect
Size: Large Color: SEMI-FLAT ANTHRACITE
I did a lot of research before I purchased this helmet and I think it paid off. First of all size and shape do matter when choosing a helmet. Be advised that this helmet will fit a person with an intermediate oval to long oval head. My head measures exactly 23 inches and have an intermediate oval head shape. The size chart shows that a medium would be too small and a large would be to big. I am an in between size. This is where head shape becomes a factor. Since I am an intermediate oval, I chose the large since this an intermediate to long oval helmet. That means that the helmet will be a bit narrower as measured vertically. The large fit me perfectly. Had it been designed strictly for a long oval, it may have been too small and if it were designed for a rounder head, it may have been too big. It is a very comfortable helmet with very good air flow even though it only has one front vent. Supposedly, the HJC C70 is supposed to be highly rated by DOT, European and British SHARP standards. However, I have read on some sites that the helmets sold in the US are different than the helmets sold overseas. Please do your own research though. Even if this is true, this helmet has proven itself over and over as being a life saver. There are many testimonies that back this up. The only drawbacks I have found is with the sun visor. It does not lower completely. There is a bit of a gap at the bottom. This is really not an issue with me but it might bother some. Also, when the sun visor is lowered, it does restrict the air flow a bit. Again, this does not bother me since I live in a cooler region. There is also a bit of chatter out there that this is a discontinued helmet and it might be hard to find replacement parts in the near future. Again, please do your own research. Regardless of the imperfections, this is a very solid, well built and comfortable helmet and I am glad I own one. ... show more

Unbeatable value
Size: X-Large Color: SEMI-FLAT BLACK
I spent a few days nerding out on motorcycle helmets to choose what would replace an older HJC I have. I think the C70 is unbeatable for a full face helmet. It has a pin lock compatible visor, the visor has a lock mechanism to keep it closed during a crash but it’s still simple to open when you want to, flip down shaded sun visor. The only thing it doesn’t have is pockets for Bluetooth speakers. The big selling point for me was the helmets safety rating. Of course it’s DOT which really means nothing since all helmets have that but the C70 is ECE rated and got 5 stars from SHARP. I don’t think you can find a helmet with all these features and such good safety ratings for the price of this one. I chose the flat black version and removed all the stickers for the clean flat black look I wanted. I like this helmet so much that I might get a second one in another color just because. ... show more

First helmet
Size: XX-Large Color: SEMI-FLAT BLACK
It fogs up easily and frequently. Vents are open. Not sure if other helmets do the same

Solid Helmet!
Size: X-Large Color: SEMI-FLAT ANTHRACITE
This is a very well made helmet and finish is exceptional! Fit was a bit snug for me in the cheek area at first, but after a couple of rides seems to have softened up. With anything that "fits", you have to break it in. Fogs up a bit when stopped, but clears up quickly once underway. Air paths seem well designed. Moral of the story, get a Pinlock Insert. My only real complaint is that this C70 is an older model for HJC and is being replaced by the i70, so accessories and replacement parts are a bit harder to come by. Fortunately, the Cheek Pads have softened up for me, but if helmet fit has been a problem for you in the past, you might want to spend a bit more for the i70 were replacement parts are easier to find. ... show more

Very impressed!
Size: X-Large Color: SEMI-FLAT BLACK
I did a lot of research and landed on this helmet and am not disappointed. My head size was right on edge between L and XL so I ordered L and it was JUST too small. I exchanged for an XL and it fit perfectly. The shaded visor is a huge plus and the wind noise is much less than my old one. In a few years when this has outlived its usefulness I'll be back for another! ... show more

Excellent value
Size: Small Color: WHITE
The helmet fits me perfectly. It has a very wide view range from side to side. The air flow is very good also.

Scratches super easy
Size: X-Large Color: SEMI-FLAT BLACK
Overall a decent helmet, especially for the price, but both the helmet itself and the acrylic visor scratch really easily. This was my first helmet so not sure if all helmets are like that so let that be known. I've tried the toothpaste rubbing hack on the visor but it didn't work at all. Will need to get a replacement. ... show more
