I have a large living room window (120" across and 60" high) with semi-sheer, slightly textured (think linen) curtains with large grommets on a 2" rod. I wanted to easily be able to tie back the curtains with the ability to also untie and close them at night. These magnetic tiebacks allow me to do this with very little effort and provide an attractive alternative to a tieback I would have to screw into the wall. I love that they are magnetic, but I think if my curtains were thicker; a canvas or heavy drape, the magnets might not hold. I can see where in time the cord may fray on these if your curtains are textured or a pet gets to them, but since they are so inexpensive and come in a pair, they are a great buy for long or short curtains that are light to midweight. I purchased the natural color to go with curtains of the same color and they look great.

Finally can get rid of rubber bands holding my curtains back on 3 split windows... Magnets are strong and I absolutely love the look and I bought the black ones... Because you know..everything goes with black. HA! Now, my mom wants some for her curtains too... Cheap enough to get a few more for gifts at Xmas time .. like stocking stuffers.. The magnets aren't as strong as they appear to be in the video so they don't stick together when a thick drape is put between them, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. These are really well made and look nice. They do the job they're designed for and that's to tie drapes together.
