I recently discovered this product and decided to give it a try. I have heard of the use of honey for cuts and burns, so I purchased it to keep in my bike pack and my children's first-aid kit. I have not yet had to use it, but I will update this post when I do. The product has a shelf life of 2-3 years, but I will likely use it before then with two young children learning to ride bikes. I also carry alcohol wipes and medical tape in my first-aid kit to keep the load down. This should keep things simple and avoid the mess of removing traditional bandages. The 4x4 size should be large enough to cover any scrapes on the legs, knees, elbows, or arms. I hope we do not need to cover more than two areas at a time, as I am only carrying two in each bag. The professional wrapping should be able to withstand some abuse in the bag without tearing, unlike paper bandages. ... show more

Where can I start, my grandfather has a pressure ulcer on hos bottom and I am having a hard time managing the wound for a few weeks now. One of my nursing friends recommended manuka honey to treat it. I didn't know which one to get since there are variety of products in the market when I came across this particular product. It was cheaper then than most so I wanted to give it a try. I was skeptical at first but when I stared using this product, the wound was getting smaller and improving! The product is high quality and you can tell that it's sterile, I had to remove the plastic cover on the back. It was sticky but it was easy to apply and take off. I came across this product in amazon when I was looking for ways to treat my wound from my bike injury. I was curious when they said that honey can heal wounds. I placed it over my wound on my leg and within a week I saw that is has almost half in size! I had to change it every day and applied some gauze over the product. Yall gotta try this!! I looked for a honey paste for wounds, but there was none, so I settled for these plasters dipped in honey, they are very uncomfortable, there is very little honey in the leaves, and the honey seems to be dry or old. I won't use it.
