    • Simple and Rustic but Assembly Confusion

This headboard is a dark bronze - not grey. It isn't plastic and looks like photos. However, putting it together was a little bit of a challenge. The headboard legs had to be forced into the headboard because the shapes were mismatched, which led to some peeling of paint. Luckily not visible. Also, the directions indicated to screw in the nails that connect the headboard and frame through the back of the headboard, but doing so would mean the end of the nails would be sticking out into the frame. So I screwed in the nails from the front, and they are now sticking out behind the headboard. This looks odd, but putting them the other way would not have given the mattress an even surface to be placed on. ... show more

Take a close look at the headboard. What is the image you see? It is a window view of an evergreen tree. Is that cool or what. I have a second floor bedroom with a forest of trees outside. This headboard was made for my "tree house" theme.

The media could not be loaded. Headboard was not queen size. We used plates from another setup to install on our frame. I like the look of it, but not a 5 star because if we hadn't had the plates it would not of worked.

Limited color selection but that was okay. I just spray painted it the color we wanted since it only came in grey. I have a king size bed with box spring underneath that sits on a standard metal frame. It has a good height as you can see in the photo even with all the pillows
