I’ve been looking at this headboard for months and finally bought it during Prime Days. I LOVE IT! True to the name, it’s basic and that’s what I like about it. It gives a clean look. It appears to be well made and the fabric is nice. It comes with hardware to connect the legs to the headboard but you’ll need 4 nuts and bolts to attach the legs to the bed frame itself. I am presently surprised how well this works for the headboard. It appears to be good quality and was very easy to assemble. I wish it would have come with hardware to mount it to my bed, but less than a dollar worth of hardward fixed that easily

I was rather excited when I saw this headboard in person. I almost bought a used West Elm that was about $850 new. But I found this beauty by accident. its a 22 lb headboard, light, portable, and because of the weight, so easy to mount on the wall. I originally had the headboard sitting on the two flimsy legs with my bed pushed against it. But since my bed is adjustable, when I raised the mattress, the headboard 'rocked' when i turned during the night. So I started to mount it with toggle bolts, and I decided "why" make holes in my wall? this is light enough that I hung it with a single XL monkey hook. I didnt even measure, just stuck it on the wall like a picture with a single hook. To my eyes, this looks great for my somewhat modern, minimalist needs. I will add that since I have an adjustable bed, I lean on the bed and not this headboard, so I am not sure how this would work if I leaned directly against it. Perhaps in that case I would have needed to have used multiple monkey hooks or toggle bolts. Glad I didnt buy the West Elm. ... show more

I needed a headboard for a king size bed frame that my husband made. This headboard looks sleek and modern with clean lines, however it is not very sturdy. For a king size headboard made out of light weight materials, this head board should be braced diagonally as it is wobbly and has potential for a shear failure. Does not include hardware to attach to bed frame, as others have mentioned. It also tends to lean forward from the wall, also as other have mentioned. So far I have used some cut 2x4s to wedge it back toward the wall and foam behind to bridge the slight gap between the headboard and wall. If you are wanting a simple headboard solution, this is not it. Be prepared to purchase mounting hardware and perform some hacks to make it stay up and against the wall. ... show more

The headboard was easy to assemble if I had all the parts. Carriage bolts with washers were missing to attach the legs to the headboard. Easy fix since I have replacements available in my garage and I did not want to go through the process of returning or getting a replacement. If you are missing the carriage bolts, just get the 8mm with at least a 3 inch length at your local hardware. This is why I could not give 5 stars. The headboard itself looks well built and my wife loved it. An easy upgrade for our guest room bed. I went to our local furniture store and their prices was more than double the price Amazon was selling it. ... show more
