We have been using this as our doberman's basic food for four years now. He is doing well on it, has not developed and hot spots or allergies. We do add freeze dried liver and internal organs for extra taurine, and veggies, and sometimes an egg. He also gets vitamins for joint health. He has a good energy level on this food. I feed him based on the recommendation on the bag for his size. We like this food particularly because it is NOT grain free which is linked to DCM in dobermans as well as many other breeds. Always check with your very before giving your dog a grain free food, even grain free treats. The bag has a resealable top which helps it to stay fresh. I have it delivered every month on subscribe and save. He doesn't eat the whole bag every month, but it is easy to skip a delivery if we don't need another bag that month. I also love that I never have to carry a heavy bag home from the store. I recommend this dog food. I get the largest sized bag so subscribe and save is a life saver for me.
