i had to switch his food to adult since he just turned one. i purchased the indoor dry food and the kibble was just too big and he didn’t care for it. he prefers the disk shape and he is currently devouring these.

I suspect Hill's spends a lot for their bag quality, or so it seems at least on feel and thickness of bag. This leads to "freshness", which if fresh at the time of filling the bag, it must be fresh when I open the bag...I would have no way to judge the flavor other than four cat's enthusiasm, or lack thereof. My cats eat all types of this brand when brought to them; but does not include Salmon Flavor or similar. Two of my cats currently eat the Merrick Brand of that flavor, but then I have never seen either not refuse to eat. They happen to be brother/sister. Back to Hill's...I must say it is expensive, compared to Merrick, the Brand I use to purchase. I do not really know about Hill's Story but wanted to try anyway. It should be know I do feed cooked real meets to all who want or are around, when I eat such at my meals. I hate the commercials about kibbles being "dead food" whether it is or not. Hopefully regulations yield quality food through this form despite any irregularities that could and probably happens in production. I am sure there is no one perfect answer, but for now and the foreseeable future, I am onboard with the Hill's Science Diet Brand. ... show more

For her 10 years of life I have fed my brinjal Domestic Shorthair Cat Royal Canin. She grazes whenever she wants but as she got older she got puke-ier. She is otherwise a healthy lady so after doing a bit of on-line research I came across Hill's Science Diet. She took to this dry food immediately and more importantly, no more puking! Whatever the ingredients are they seem to agree with here a lot better. ... show more
