While the "L" bracket is exactly what I needed (securing a room divider to the floor so it doesn't tip over), the screws that are included in the box are useless. They shear as soon as you tighten them, with the thread portion stuck in the wood and the Philips head portion getting sheared/snapped-off. It happened to me three times, with the third screw being tightened manually with a screwdriver. To secure the bracket to the floor, I had to use drywell screw instead of the ones provided after drilling the bracket's holes so the drywall screws can fit through. You can see in the photos the large drywall screws and the holes in the wood floor where two of the original screws sheared/snapped-off. ... show more

these work great to replace the cheap plastic versions that break and come with a lot of the current crap furniture we're all buying nowadays!I like that its metal and it replaced a failed plastic one and the hole alignment was the same as what it replaced and was accurate as described.

Finish is great. They seem really high quality, but the screws are very weak. The heads break off even when you pre-drill and use a screw driver so be very careful!
