Installed new water filtering system in the house. Probably had 20 joints to soldier 3/4 inch copper. I always use Mapp gas, faster than propane. Nice being able to move the torch head at different angles and not get a blast of liquid. Well worth the money, everything works as it should. Longevity unknown. Retired so I don't do much soldering anymore.

10/10 wish I bought is sooner. Solid torch. For 8+ years I’ve used the standard map torch directly on the bottle. Tough in tight spaces, hard to move around the pipe. This was a game changer for me. Lighter, seems to burn hotter making it a faster job. I use staybright 8 for most HVAC work, no lugging a heavy torch set, no nitro flow needed saving money and time. The hose feels a little thin, but if it were ever to break I’d buy again instantly from the job site.

Very good value, it’s well constructed and has a wide range of flame adjustment. It puts out the hottest flame of any torch I have ever used. This torch is one of the very best on the market today.

This torch head is fantastic! No lighter needed — just turn on the gas and pull the trigger. It’s solid, well-built, and super easy to use. I use it to remove bubbles from my resin chessboards, and it works perfectly. The flame is strong, so handle with care. It fits standard green propane canisters, which makes it really convenient. Functionality: Smooth ignition and steady flame. Capacity: Uses common camping propane tanks. Value: Great quality for the price. Highly recommend!

This thing shoots such a good Flame I knocked out a job in minutes that was taking me a really long time with my the basic torch head. With the basic torch that comes with the blue bottle at any department store. With the basic torch head I couldn't get the joints hot enough to suck up the solder properly and they would keep leaking and it would have to redo them over and over. With this torch none of my joints leaked except for the one that I forgot to do because I was doing five of them to fit in this little area around the electric panel and right up against the foam insulated wood frame where are the basement wall meets the frame ( three straights and two 90s). I was using it with the hose thinking damn I wish this thing had a holster. I come here to review it only to see that it does have a holster; and sure enough it was still in the box, I didn't even look. So the hose and the torch head are incredible. I don't know if the holsters good because I didn't use it. Fyi, I put three layers of aluminum foil over the foam and wood frame before using the torch. In retrospect I probably should have doubled it because the foam is well scorched. That's a testament to how good (got) this torch is.
