Using as a fireplace starter. The starter is just a little inconsistent, but how difficult is it to pull a trigger twice? It is very nice in that, you don't have to fiddle with a knob to adjust the gas EVERY TIME you go to light the fireplace. -Just pull a trigger- It's also a conversation peice @ campfires as you grasp a bottle of gas, & in a fraction of a second, you're shooting a blue flame. it's very satisfying & I don't know why. ... show more

Just getting around to using this to start a camp fire. The spark it not reliable. Clicks but no flame, or doesn’t even click. A dozen trigger pulls to get it to go. Bummer.

Pattern Name: 3 Tubes Kit
I like it because it gets a controllable, quiet pencil flame or a strong swirle flame with a change of the flame holder. Others don't do that. The problem is that the flame ignition is fragile. The contacts between the body and the flame holder connection are small, flexible, and can easily be torn or worn off. In one case, the flame holder must be turned around to point to the opposite side (toward you if pointed correctly) because the contact on the flame holder connection is one the wrong side. Easy enough to turn the thing around but awkward to hold. I'll return it if I can get the box out of the trash can. ... show more
