At the time of writing this review there are two options, regular shears and thinning shears. I ordered the thinning shears. They have a nice weight to them and feel really well made. They were very well protected and it's clear that they are meant to be perceived as high end. I am not a professional so I can't say if they are professional quality but they are definitely the best I've ever had as a consumer. I've done hair for my family and friends for decades (as a favor) and I am very excited to use these thinning shears on my friends and wigs. I did a bit of a trim on my own hair right after getting them and they cut well, very sharp and they did really quick work of my fried ends. Really happy with them. Only negative pertains to a bonus item that came with it, two really. Included are two microfiber cleaning cloths. While they both exhibit similar high quality feel, they both also had that tell tale fishy smell that sometimes happens with items from China. I still rated 5 stars because those are both extras and I am pretty sure the smell will go away after a wash. If not then I'll toss them out, nothing lost because I ordered thinning shears, not cloths. And again the quality of the cloths is really nice, they just stink. If I can get the smell out I will be keeping one in my purse for my glasses because they're the high quality microfiber cloths I prefer to clean my glasses with.

I am by no means a professional hair stylist, but I appreciate the precision of the cuts on these scissors. Only draw back comes with me being left-handed. I was worried the scissors weren’t sharp enough, but it turns out this pair is meant for right handed cutting. Night and day difference when I switched hands, cut like butter.

Had enough of using scissors from the junk drawer to trim those bangs - these are your solution. These scissors are incredibly impressive from tip to toe, and come with a nice carrying case, finger hole inserts, and a lubricating brush in a very nicely presented package. First note - these will be sharper than almost any scissors you've used unless you are a professional barber or seamstress, they are truly professional quality. They open and close like butter, and the shear is satisfying and clean. They cut hair effortlessly. The handles are contoured like many professional barbers shears, and though a touch on the small size for me (I can still use them, they're just a bit fingertippy), they fit my wife's hands perfectly. I am really surprised with the over presentation and quality of these shears especially at this price. The shears had a very well made real leather sheath to hold them as well as a rigid and tasteful box to store and protect them when storing. All of which is fully appreciated, especially when clientele judges a stylist a lot on aesthetics even for inconsequential things like a scissor sheath. The shears them selves are fantastic! They are definitely comparable to $200 level shears I’ve found and salon supply chains. They are very sharp and have smooth action, as well as, thin the hair uniformly and predictably. I didn’t find myself surprised whenever I was cutting. They did what they were supposed to and that’s really all you can ask for in professional equipment, where you need dependable and consistent results. Overall, I think this a great value and I wouldn’t hesitate to see what else this brand offers.

I've been cutting my own hair for years and these shears have a much cleaner, sharper feel than the pair I previously used. They move smoothly and the cut feels fast and crisp, with no pulling on the hair strands. I am a cosmetologist and I am always looking for a good deal on tools. These are honestly- AMAZING, they are better quality than the shears they gave us in beauty school. After they came I used them on myself. I don't like to use my own shears on clients. So these are my favorite new personal shears! The size is perfect, they came oiled, with their own case and very sharp! They are definitely pro quality, very ergonomic and comfortable in your hand while cutting- which is a big deal to me. They have a tension screw to loosen or tighten them up. I very much recommend these! Whether for professional or personal use, they are a great value for the quality.

We aren't professionals, but we do cut each other's hair in this household. Therefore, we don't know how these scissors measure up in terms of what a real stylist would use, but we have a lot of experience using decent and not-so-great cutting tools. By our standards, these are good shears. They're quite sharp, and they're comfortable to hold. They feel well made. Time will tell if they stay sharp and last like they should considering the price. I'll update my review if they don't.
