Assembled by a woman over 60 with limited carpentry knowledge. Directions are only pictures which helped me greatly. It did take several days to finish but the results are super nice! The manufacturer made me look good by putting the pre drilled holes/starter holes in the right places. I did glue the dowels in. My file drawers went in perfectly the first try. The doors are straight and even. Don’t skip step 44 although you will be tempted to after screwing in all those other screws. It really helped complete the look. I was so excited to tell anyone who would listen! Was a great purchase for my needs.

I have a love/hate relationship with this piece of furniture. First, it was SO TEDIOUS and time consuming to put this thing together. The instructions were okay, but my goodness. A bajillion screws and lock nuts and pieces. I mean, I haven’t even done step 44 yet, because as the very last step, it wants you to screw in 40 MORE tiny screws after you just screwed in 300 in various ways for 8 hours. So step 44 can wait until I ice my hand. Why didn’t you use a drill you ask? Because these screws were so freaking small, a drill would have blown the pilot holes right out. So screw driver it is. I actually have a blister on my thumb from the amount of rubbing today. So. Many. Screws. Now that being said, this thing is sturdy! Hell, it better be with 350 screws in it 😆 The doors and drawers close beautifully, the holes all lined up well, the cubbies are spacious. It looks good! The few complaints I have (beyond the screw situation) is that it feels like it went in the dryer and shrunk. Like it just feels like it needs to be enlarged by like 20% to be a regular piece of furniture. And maybe this is because the colored piece that has the power strip on it doesn’t come up to your waist. I assumed it would be like a natural height work station type surface. Especially since the photos decorated it with a coffee station. Yeah no. It’s not. It comes up to my mid thigh. Speaking of the power strip, whyyyyy put a power strip in and have a cord hider in the back….. to just have everything plugged into the power strip on the work station so all the cords just sit there? Like wouldn’t it make more sense to put the power strip hidden, and the cord hider in the top so that it can hide all the cords? So all in all it’s good. It doesn’t fit my printer on the work station part, and that was my main want for this, but it’s fine. Should’ve extra checked measurements. So yeah, extra check your measurements, people.

I needed a piece of furniture in my living room/ dining room area where I could set up my computer and printer for my grad school work but it also had shelves to put things on for decoration. I had one perfect spot to set it up and measured that space. I then spent hours searching Amazon until I found this PERFECT furniture piece! It fit like a glove in that space, had the counter for my laptop and printer, had shelves to display decor, AND THE BEST YET- it had cabinets and hanging file drawers!!! I couldn’t believe it!! I’m a 43 year old single mom and put this together, by myself, except for there comes a time toward the end where you need someone to help you lift the top piece onto the bottom piece. My neighbor’s husband helped me. If you just follow the directions, it’s easy… like Legos. It DID take me about 4 nights to get it all out together though. It’s BIG! I absolutely LOVE it! The electrical outlet is SO useful!

I ordered this cabinet for my home office to store a multitude of items and have a designated charging station to get my small electronics off my kitchen island. It was very well packed in two separate boxes. The large box was quite heavy so I unpacked it outside and brought the pieces in that way. Highly recommend you layout all the hardware bags and check to be sure you have everything. Some bags have up to 3 separate parts in them. If you follow the directions in the exact order it goes together easily, but does take a significant amount of time. I worked alone about 6 hours total. Please use a cordless power screwdriver to save your body. As other reviewers pointed out, there’s about 300 screws in this cabinet. It was the only tool I needed other than a hammer for the glides on the bottom. I was impressed that the doors and file drawers lined up perfectly once installed. There’s usually some adjustment needed but not with this. Everything was squared and solid. Tip: when installing the rods that hold the hanging folders, if you’re in the US, choose the slots closest to the center. That fits our standard folders perfectly. Others mentioned having trouble with the spacing. One rod wants to slide back into the outer notch, so I added a dab of hot glue in that notch to prevent it sliding over again. I loaded it up and it holds quite a bit. I purchased 12x12” fabric bins that fit the top cubbies perfectly and labeled each with the contents, so they’re hidden from sight but easily found. All in all, while it was tedious to assemble, it was not difficult. It’s certainly not top quality furniture, and you should have realistic expectations at this price point, it is priced well for its end appearance and functionality. I would definitely recommend this purchase if you have patience and a cordless screwdriver.

It is a very nice bookcase. However I wish I would have listened to the review mentioning hanging files don't fit in the drawer (we got the gray/ash one). Ordered legal size, those don't fit-- standard size, those don't fit. I have no idea what file they think fits in this drawer, but it's not a commonly used one. Also I am really disappointed, I bought this thinking the doors locked-- I could have sworn one of the pictures depicted them locking. They do not 😮💨 We are using this for our homeschool curriculum/activity organizer and the space provided is wonderful for that. My printer fits perfectly on the counter part, but BARELY (I am so glad I did measurements before purchasing). It was easy to assemble, the back is SUPER flimsy so be careful with that. And the drawers once installed seem to be permanent, I tried to remove a drawer so we could drill holes to make our hanging files work and I CANNOT remove the drawer without fear of breaking it. Overall not a bad purchase, just some disappointments.
