I have been wearing Hi-Tec's Altitude walking/hiking boots for over 15 years and I love em. They are extremely comfortable, walking in them is like walking on a cloud. The outsole is rugged, protecting my feet from jutty rocks, roots, and crevices on difficult trails. The boot provide excellent ankle support without being too restrictive. The lacing design makes them easy to put on and take off. Because of their durable construction my Hi-Tec boots simply don't wear out, I have been wearing the same pair for over 10 years., the only wear evident is a little uneveness at the heal because of the way I walk. Only worn them a few times. But here's my impressions so far.. Very happy with the looks and quality. Good insole,comfortable, seems well made. Not a big fan of the triangle lace loops. But can easily change that. So far I really like these! And I'm picky about footwear. For the price these are great! Wouldn't use them for hiking long miles. But daily wear or outdoor activities Absolutely! True test will be how they hold up over time... ... show more

This boot is light weight and has proven very durable so far. Great traction from the tread on the soles of the shoe. I find the shoe very comfortable and roomy. The boot does accommodate my prescription orthotics and I’m very pleased about that because these inserts are necessary for my feet on a daily basis. The only issue with the boots is the top shoestring hooks are so high that the laces want to tie against my ankle rather than against the tongue of the shoe.
