In my early thirties I really didn't think pimples would be a part of my life. But, of course, they are. I've tried many different washes, creams,patches... While I feel they all work on their own way and in their own time .. I figured I'd give this a shot as well. It applies nicely on your skin, very easy to use. The tube itself is easy to squeeze and easy to manipulate the amount you want. It sort of dries to your skin instead of sitting there like a cream. I really like how it is easily packed to travel with. I do a ton of traveling with my son for his sports and having something in this type of packaging that can live in my purse or car is very ideal for someone like myself. Overall it takes time to work, as anything does. I don't feel it completely cleared stuff up on its own. All pimples are a waiting process. But I do feel it sped up the process of my normal pimple length. The tube also has a lot more than I expected. I'm nowhere near finished with it even after using it a dozen or so times.

Another win by hero cosmetics! I have by no means tried every product from this brand, but everything I have tried, I love. I really like the silicone applicator & there’s a lot to be said about a twist up design. For starters, you can control how much product comes out every time…I don’t have to worry about accidentally squeezing the tube too hard & wasting product, or about it going everywhere the first time I open it after a flight. I also like any airtight container that protects your product from exposure to the air, prevents formula degradation, and increases shelf life. FYI - I had to twist it a lot more than I expected before any product came out. Which is fine, just letting others know so you don’t panic that it’s broken like I did 😅

- I have significantly sensitive skin when it comes to chemicals and so i rarely can use topical items. But initial application of this did not cause any irritation. However, anyone can be sensitive to the harshness of repetitive use salicylic acid products. - It dried 90% of the way in maybe a minute or less. But the tacky feel of the last 10% took several minutes to go away fully. But then it was at a state that other cosmetics could be applied over it. - Application is done by twisting the base of the tube/pen to bring liquid to the silicone top (the initial priming took a lot of turns). A tiny amount goes a long way. This tip is going to definitely become a sticky mess if not kept clean, so just use what you ejected out and wipe it clean. If you are worried about hygiene of the tip or sharing you could use finger tip to remove product from tip and then apply with finger tip instead. - Very travel friendly for purse or backpack. - It would be nice to see it designed for refills to avoid plastic waste, because it even tells you that you cannot recycle the tube/pen. I got this acne gel pen for my teen daughter who is struggling a bit with pimples right now. She's used this brand in the past and has liked their products so we wanted to give this a try. It goes on easily and so far hasn't been drying out her skin at all. It dries in place and then can be peeled off when you want to remove it. It forms a little layer on your skin, versus being a cream that soaks in. So far, she finds that it does help bring the fluid inside the pimple to the top of the skin, which helps some. I think time will tell how much she ends up loving this product and if she asks for more when she runs out. I'll update as we test it out more but so far so good.

This products works really well. You can tell that is full strength with a light tingle but neither has it caused any redness or dry skin from daily use. The pen style applicator is innovative and allows you to treat areas without using your fingers spreading bacteria around. One benefit of the pen is that you can treat on the go easily. The downside is that the pen only has 0.34 oz of product inside. The ingredients are sound and no harsh alcohols. Definitely a great product.
