I really geek out on design that is multifunctional and makes use of space. I also love mid century design and this has those lines. So when I saw this table I knew it would be perfect for my space. I don’t have a large living room or a lot of seating so this was a great solution. The benches are great, maybe not ideal for someone really tall, but they’re not meant for sitting all night either. They are pretty firm so you could always throw a cushion on top. The table is very sturdy and I love that it came assembled. Some ppl complained about the top. I agree that it is a little heavy, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not that hard and maybe it gets easier with use. Honestly, I don’t lift it that much, but it’s a nice feature. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I’ve had lots of compliments and I would recommend it. ... show more

Very happy with this slate table top with the extra storage inside. The cushions are durable. I love the brass accents, love the soft, closing table top mechanism. Very happy with purchase. Best part is no assembly required.

The pictures in the other reviews are about right. I opted to buy through this seller because I liked the gold band at the bottom of the ottomans in this version. The pros: Quick delivery (2days), packed well in a crate and wrapped with water protecting tarp. It is heavy and seems sturdy enough. It has all the design elements in the picture and lift top is definitely a plus. Cons: The poor driver carried the very heavy table all by himself to my door without a dolly. His back is probably cursing him and he should have been provided a dolly. The crate was difficult to pull apart for me and took a good part of 20 minutes to deconstruct. The white stone has very little veining and the veins are very faint to see. The stone feels heavy but it is very thin and on top of a thin layer of the wood. It's just not a good visual around the table top edge but not a deal breaker. I also was expecting the edge to be wrapped in the same gold band as the ottomans. The ottomans are quite short which I expected but it's great for kids and mine love them. they are very light weight so really just for kids. For all these reasons, I think the table is overpriced for its size and the kind of synthetic parts it's made of (not real wood, not real stone, etc). I am overall happy with my purchase and our old rickety coffee table will be on the curb next trash day. ... show more

Very functional and very stylish, just what I was looking for. Also, this is the best price I could find for this table. Table comes fully assembled. Does have a smell, you have to lift the top and leave it to air out. The lift top is heavy but it's also sturdy.
