Five stars for quality at a good price. Seven belt loops instead of the 5 you get on 501s and 505s. Mine are slightly long - probably closer to 38” instead of 36” but work with my boots. Waist and rise are perfect. Some low and mid rise jeans don’t give you enough zipper for certain standing activities but these do. Front pockets could be deeper but they’re adequate. “Coin” pocket will hold a large pocket watch or Zippo. Wearing them today for the first time and they’re very comfortable. I need bootcut to fit over the tops of size 15 custom cowboy boots, but these are almost bell bottoms (dating myself). They are replacing Lee Legendary bootcuts which fit great but only lasted 18 months before holes wore through. I will probably try these in some different cuts to wear with lace up boots and sneakers. I have to recommend Levi Signature jeans. ... show more

The seems are not straight at all for starters. Edges and hemming is really rough, unraveling, loose, and its very obvious someone was having tension and stitch length issues on their sewing machines. The stitch patterns and tension you can look and see where it is way tight/uneven. Also noticeable where the person sewing them hesitated and didn't do a very good job back stitching. I have not washed them because I am afraid that the seems and stitching will come apart. I sew with either vintage clutch motor Singer or servo motor Juki industrial sewing machines capable of making these. So I honestly have a very good idea of what it takes to make quality clothing. Chances are whoever made these they could have bern in a hurry because industrial machines are designed for production, speed, and efficiency. If you hesitate or stop or as I said above, do not have a machine set correctly, and are not paying attention you will have a mess that will fall apart. My other guess is these are made by people who are learning which is good. On one occasion the strong odor of the dye in the cloth these are constructed from stinks like a combination of rotten fish oil, petroleum solvent or shoe polish, burned microwave popcorn with a musty smell that is so horrible I don't want them in my home. I know that it is not uncommon to get cloth that can smell depending upon what it is treated with or what starches were used. However I would never allow cloth that smells this bad near myself or any of my sewing machines because I would be afraid of getting sick or not being able to ever get the smell out. I usually don't write such a negative review yet I just hope that nobody else gets something of such inferior quality. I shouldn't have to wash the rotten odor off my hands with automotive hand cleaner after touching these that is a sure sign we have something possibly toxic in the cloth which could be dangerous to myself and do I really want to risk my washing machine and dryer stinking or possibly releasing toxic fumes making me or a pet sick I don't think so. Hopefully the seller will replace these or refund me so that I can give a positive review. I cannot tell you how they fit because I am not going to put these against my skin. Here is what is strange according to my tape measure they are surprisingly sized very well and should fit nicely im really hoping that I can get this taken care of. If anyone reads this and you notice any of what I mentioned above please report it. Seller replaced the previous purchase and they get a 5 star rating. Update. I have purchased 5 pair of 34x34 and they were all just fine. Sizing they are actually pretty good. They are not as heavy duty as the 100% cotton 517 or 501 not even close. Take a stitch cutter and cut a pair of wore out ones up you will see what I mean. These are made fast and they are not heavy duty. Thread and material wise for what they are I cannot complain. I'm 5'11, 185 lbs give or take. My last few pairs of jeans I purchased from a "western style boot store" and paid considerably more for them than I paid for these. I've been wearing them a couple years now and one of the pairs, although still fit good, are getting too short so I decided to try these as a replacement. When this pair arrived I tried them on and first thought was to return them because they seemed a bit too long (I go from one extreme to the other). I decided to try them with my roper boots, which is what I'd mostly be wearing them for, and they actually didn't look too bad at all. I threw them in the wash and tried them again and they were better. Honestly, I believe they're designed that way on purpose hence "boot cut". Lol the back of the pants by the heal ride lower than I've been accustomed to but in no way touch the ground; the front drape over as they should. I'm confident as they go through more washes they won't be too short. I don't envision wearing these with any other shoes aside from my roper boots but tried them with my low cut converse and they're certainly doable. They seem like better jeans material than the pairs from the western store and, like I said, cost considerably less. Waist, etc. fit great. A great boot jean for a great price. I dig them. The pockets are deeper/better than the the high priced jeans, as well. I could never figure out why the pockets in those jeans seemed so shallow. If my cell phone wasn't a flip phone it'd barely fit. Now I'm thinking those high priced boot cut jeans fell short.......pun intended. ... show more

Needed to add some fresh jeans into the rotation. I typically prefer OG series Levi's. I dread shopping for clothes these days since all I ever find is skinny jeans! I also don't always have the time to schedule for shopping, so went to Amazon and came across these Signature series which I don't that I've ever noticed before. I was slightly impressed upon initial unpacking. They seem comfortable, and they fit me in the style I was looking for. I ordered another pair in a different color since they were priced around half the price of the OG! While still new, they fit like they might be sized to fit a bit more loose. That's fine for me as I can order my size 34/34 and don't have to size up to 36/34 to get my preferred fit. I obviously cannot yet attest to the durability of the signature series until they acquire signs or age or stains and become "chore clothes". I don't think they feel quite as solid as the OG's, but they also don't feel cheap either. In the meantime they will serve me well on trips to the grocery and those long walks to the mailbox. ... show more
