great ball, Terrible pump but they all are. i don't think you'd ever get it to full size but im sure with enough will power you could. Air compressor worked much better and I put it in a cover I bought separately to protect it and give my mule something to bite.

I've purchased three of this brand of 40" ball. No complaints about the first two. In fact, the second ball lasted about 2 years. I decided to replace the old ball because it had a slow leak, and my pony was tripping on the loose cover. However, the recent replacement ball purchased was deployed only four days before it popped. I even bought a brand new cover for it because the old cover needed repairs due to years of snags and tears. The newest ball didn't even have time to get dirty! In comparing old to new, I feel the old ball is thicker and has a different texture.....of course, that could be from years of dirt absorption and heat drying it, but my guess is that material quality changed. I requested a replacement from the seller and will see how that one survives. To note, my pony herds the ball throughout the day and even pushes it into his stall to sleep. It gets lots of miles, so I keep a spare yoga ball handy so he's not without his "teddy bear." Yoga balls have lasted far longer than this latest 40" horse ball, so I am not impressed. If it pops again, I won't buy this brand unless I see a major change from new reviews. And, BTW, usually they leak or split when they go.....I think this is the only one I recall popping in two pieces.

Despite all the negative reviews, this product is worth considering. The cover has lasted far longer than any other cover we've tried. We have a 90 lb German Shepard, and she did bite many holes into the cover and rip off a few of the tags, but in nearly a hundred hours of rough play, she's never pierced the ball inside (an unprecedented miracle), and we were able to repair most of the damage. We've sewn up holes in the cover repeatedly, but we got our money's worth. For past covers, sewing up holes wasn't even an option, they were so fragile. Our dog had them in pieces all over the yard. This one has held up. One important thing to note is that we always put the ball away in our garage after an hour or so of supervised play. I'm sure that extended the life of the cover. We are getting another one. I wish there was an even better cover on the market, but this is the best we've found, and it's actually pretty decent given the wear and tear it got from our dog.

Bought this huge ball for my dog and unfortunately he popped it within 15 minutes. Id say great?quality if he wasn't so rough with it. Loved the blue color and huge size. It bounced all over the backyard before he popped i I can say he had lots of fun for those 15 minutes lol

This ball is tough and fun. I put it in a cover to prevent my dog from biting it to pop it. The size is big just what we were looking for. We’ve had active afternoon fun sessions running, bouncing and throwing it around the yard. Easy to inflate.

States 40" but 40" cover is WAY too big. Bought 30" cover still a bit big, but better than the 40" covers. After 3 covers hint for putting together - ball MUST be inflated inside the cover. (Too many times inflating and deflating!) About to give to 18 month old foal who loves these balls and will see how it holds up.

This thing is NOT 40 inches which is problematic because I also bought a cover for it. The quality is beyond poor. The pump it comes with is absolutely worthless as well. Buy something else

I've bought his same ball a couple times in the past and both times it lasted about a year Both were laid on, kicked and played hard by our horses. This last purchase, it popped within a couple minutes of airing it up. It was only aired up to 32", as it looked like it couldn't hold any more air. It was supposed to be a 40" ball, but maybe they sent the wrong size and it was a 30"? So that was $30+ down the drain! I couldn't return it since I had purchased in December and didn't air it up until April.
