This heavy box was well packed and the instructions were very clear. The wood looks high quality and all pieces in pristine condition,, including 2 glass doors.. All parts were well marked. You will need a good quality philips head screwdriver (preferably a drill), as well as a flathead screwdriver to tighten the screw locks. They supply a small Allen wrentch, but its used for 4 screws, all of the rest are Philips. I'm a novice at this, it took me about 2 hours, but really found it easy to assemble by following the instructions carefully. It has to be easy if I figured out how to put it together by myself! ISSUES: Tricky to get all the top cover pins aligned so the top was flush to the body of the unit. Also, the fireplace was difficult to secure the way they direct you, as it was impossible to reach the inside screw holes, so I skipped that and just supported it using the back clamps. The instructions were vague as to which direction the upper magnet piece went for the doors. My philips screwdriver stripped trying to attach the metal plates for the magnetic doors. Get them flush, for If they stick out even the slightest, the door won't connect to the magnet correctly and comes open easily. There were no predrilled holes in back of the unit to screw in the 2 backings, so I hammered them in, as they gave additional stability and were important to attach. REVIEW:It looks beautiful in my room. Yes it's a slightly fake looking fire, but it is pleasant and relaxing. You can always purchase a different insert if you prefer a more realistic looking fire. Was easy to put together if you have put together furniture before, if not these instructions were not that great. Once put together though it is beautiful and sturdy. Love the jewels for the fireplace effect. Only down side is the heater doesn't have a thermostat, so if you turn it on it stays on. Love the look though. ... show more

Once it is finally put together, it is very cute. I gave it 4 stars because: the directions are only pictures and some of them are hard to read (causing us to put a few things on backwards resulting in broken hardware. There is only 1 predrilled hole for the two back pieces. There were a few small areas of damage on the top piece and the fireplace was slightly dented ( none of which are visible when assembled nor prevent the piece from working properly). I would say it definitely takes 2 people and a lot of patience… I suggest waiting until fully rested and in good spirits prior to assembly or pay for the expert assembly. Maybe don’t try to assemble on a Friday night when you and your boyfriend have had a long exhausting week with little sleep and possibly prone to crabbiness. We are both still alive and relatively uninjured-only minor scratches and bruised egos were acquired. We still love each other and our relationship was not damaged in the process but definitely challenged. Good luck! ... show more

The box for this is extremely bulky and heavy. It arrived very damaged. There was some delay before I could open it but when I did I discovered the two main front bars were both snapped. I need this now and don’t want to have another of these massive garbage products around my house, so I guess I’ll just deal with it looking like broken trash. ... show more

I have a smaller living room so I needed something that wasn’t too big. This was perfect! Went together perfectly for us and didn’t take long to assemble. No damage to the tv stand during shipping as well. Would definitely buy again!

Yes it's pretty to look at from the front, but it was a nightmare to put together. The instructions aren't very helpful. Only gives pics to look at and some of them are kind of hard to tell exactly what's going on. The inside back part has some damage but isn't very noticeable since one of the shelves covers it. It's very flimsy and doesn't feel sturdy at all. Just picking it up to move makes all the pieces want to come apart. And we tightened everything. I don't understand what's going on with it. Plus the back cover was suppose to have like 16 screws in it to keep it on but only came with 2 screw holes. So the whole thing is just hanging back there. We are planning on getting a bigger TV and we really hope it can support the weight. For the price it should be better. ... show more
