It is a really solid and sturdy backpack! The thick acrylic plastic does get scratched up though, so if aesthetics are important to you, then spend the extra energy to make sure that it doesn’t get scratched up or scuffed. I bought this backpack in 2020 and only used it a handful of times with my first cat. Right when I was conditioning her to become an “adventure cat“ I had to put her down unexpectedly. I just adopted a new kitten and am finally getting some use out of this backpack again. Poppy Seed, my orange baby, never had a problem with this and would regularly sleep in this when given the chance. My current baby, Carrot Cake, is still getting used to it, but after a few minutes of protest from her, she eventually settles in and will even go to sleep. The backpack, while not exactly small, isn’t very large either. And it is definitely not for fat cats that are overweight/obese or for cat breeds that are larger. Poppy was 8 pounds, and my current kitten is 4.5 pounds. I would not put a cat over 10 pounds in this carrier as it can get rather cramped in there for long excursions. While it was a really good backpack to have, I will be ordering a different one from another seller that is expandable. This different one has more mesh to allow for better circulation (something that I get worried about being in the hot and humid south). And it also has an option to expand the back to where it has a little tent. That way Carrot Cake can comfortably and safely stay inside the carrier during picnics or on breaks during our hikes, but still a little bit more space to stretch her legs and move around. If this backpack had an option to be expandable, by even just a little bit, I probably wouldn’t have bothered looking for a new one. But since I plan to take her on hikes, walks, Kayaking, and wherever I can, I want to make sure there will be enough space for a small battery powered fan if I needed one (esp with Summer coming up). And this backpack just does not have enough space for that and for my cat.

I really do like this backpack. I’ve had it for a couple of years now but unfortunately didn’t get much use out of it until I adopted my newest fur baby. My older cat, who I originally bought this for was way too big. It was extremely uncomfortable for him and he did not like it. His weight has ranged from 11-14lbs and at none of those weights was he comfy in this pack. However! I have a one year old kitten how is about 8-9lbs and she is pretty comfy in the bag. If she was any bigger I know she wouldn’t be, so hopefully she doesn’t grow anymore lol. But she fits well and isn’t squished. When her and her litter sibling where a couple months old I fit them both comfortably in this backpack and took them around town to sightsee. So for kittens and small cats this is a great sturdy pack and has held up quite nicely!

The media could not be loaded. We got the Henkelion Travel Backpack Bubble Pet Carrier (Green) for our Maine Coon, and it’s been amazing! Even though she’s a pretty big cat, there’s plenty of room inside for her to sit, turn, and relax comfortably. The backpack is sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to carry on hikes or through the city without feeling bulky. The design looks stylish and modern, and the breathable ventilation holes keep our cat cool and calm inside. The zippers are strong and smooth, which makes opening and closing super easy and secure. Overall, this carrier is great quality for the price, and our cat genuinely seems to enjoy being in it, which says a lot! Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a larger cat or small dog.
