The amount of lines that are on this thing are very overwhelming. Once I realized how to hook it up (two minutes) it worked great. Don’t untangle or untie anything as you will change how the kite flies. Simply pull the line through the white loops and connect. A video will do you wonders. It has good pull and was fun but nowhere near as fast of versatile as a stunt delta. I see this kite as a beginner power kite for most and woul definitely recommend it.     • It is not as hard as you might think, but well worth it and it is a blast.

First, if you think you cannot do this, just youtube it while you wait on it to be delivered. Once you get the hang of it, you can fly it in 7 mph winds and up. 10 MPH wind is a great training wind to practice on. I just had it out in 15-17 mph winds and it was a blast and a minor work out. I have 20 to 25 mph winds coming tomorrow, I expect it to lift me up to one foot as it flies side to side. I self launch into a narrow opening. I do not have a wide open field, I cannot do a bunch of tricks, but it is easy to fly it away from obstructions with out issue. I have treed it once, and I was able to fly it back out of the tree by chance and the lines stayed intact. When I self launch. I lay flat on the ground with the tail pointed towards me. a small weight on the tail keep it from blowing away. As you take tension on the line, twitch the lines slightly to get the cells to inflate. At that point, either the wind will finish the inflation or you will step backwards briskly to finish the inflation and up she goes. The tension needs to be even at the bridles, that may or may not keep your arms even. worry less about your arm position and I think you will have better luck in good flights. Another piece of advice, youtube some skydivers handling their parachutes once they land. It will give you something to mimic when you handle your cascade lines and bridle. Line tangles are not hard to manage if you keep a broader context of what you are trying to do. The fabric is stiff when you fly it the first time, but the more you fly it, the more limber the fabric becomes as you break it in. I started two weeks ago with a 48 inch 19 dollar parafoil kite, it was quite a bit harder to fly and needs stronger wind to have fun. If you are a good adolescent to not an idiot adult, this should be no problem. When I wear this one out, I will get this again or a little bit bigger one. On the other hand, this is at a price point to try it and see if you like or give it away. ... show more

This has been a fun kite to use. It takes a little practice but overall is therapeutic to fly. I will say the kite lines were longer than I was expecting, and the two lines were offset from each other by 1.5 feet so I had to cut one and shorten it so they would be the same distance to the kite. The multiple strings attached to the actual kite are pretty complicated and I am sure I will get them twisted and knotted at some point so I will have to throw the kite away, although that has not happened yet because I have folded it up carefully every time. Overall I think it is worth it for the low price, but if you are looking for something a little more user friendly I would upgrade and buy an actual kite board trainer kite as I plan to do. Line snapped the third time I used it—in about 15mph wind in northern Ohio. I’ll have to throw it away now, or spend $20 on decent line and who knows how many hours re-stringing the thing. I was initially really happy with this, but now I couldn’t recommend it.

This kite is CRAZZZZZY! Incredible price for such a huge kite. We used it every day on a beach trip and it was fun for everyone, learning to steer it and do low high speed fly-by’s. The wing itself is about what you expect at the price point. The thing about this one is that 2.5 meters is actually quite sizable in the dual line kite category. Most other kites this size from the higher end companies come with control bars or quad line control (IE the prism mentor 2.5) anywhere sized above 2m. The lines this comes with are only really safe up to 10mph winds absolute max. I took mine out first day 15 mph steady and broke the line after maybe 2 hours in the air. I would have paid an extra 20 for this wing if it just came with some decent 100-150# lines. Basically it’s a decent first kite especially for the $$$ but don’t let kids fly it on days that get over 10mph. And just go ahead and order some upgraded lines now. ... show more

Not a beginner kite by any means, but not an advanced either. Takes a minute to get used to, but it handles beautifully. First flight I was already confident enough to drag an edge. It has a lot of pulling power, so be ready to brace in the middle of the window.
