I hope you are aware that a wall stud is 16"-24" apart, if you buy the rack that I purchased which is under size you will need to cut a 2x4 and screw it in stud to stud. DO NOT DARE USE THIS WITH AN ANCHOR, that will be very dangerous, the best anchors out there can only hold up to 50lbs, so make sure if you have my setup use a 2x4. ... show more

I have a few similar racks of different sizes in my home gym. My larger one is just too crowded to be useful, so I got this to move a few of the items over and spread things out better. This is a good, sturdy rack for the home gym. The mounting hardware is strong - you get 2 thick screws and push in anchors (1 for each side) and a small bubble level to mount it. I recommend ditching the anchors and finding the centers of a couple of studs, going right into them with your drill and then these screws. The holes are spaced about 16" apart, which is the standard stud spacing. Once mounted, you can easily hang barbells (mount high if you are using a full length barbell), dumbbells, accessories, belts, straps, etc. The tines are shaped to hold things well, with a bit of uplift in the front. It is quite sturdy if mounted in studs and can handle a fair amount of weight. It's neither the widest nor narrowest rack like this that I have, but it's a good medium size that will definitely be helpful in organizing your gym. ... show more

This is just right for what I needed while mounted in the shed. The rack can be used for most anything heavy that needs to get hung up. I have mine mounted to a board that's secured to framing studs (the holes are 14.5" on center for this, so it won't go directly onto your studs if 16"OC), since I hang up heavy welding cables and extension cords that weight about 25 pounds with additional welding gear hanging off of this. The rack does what it designed to do. The slots fit a full size bar bell but I have it rested on the floor. The end prevent for falling off. Helps keep things off the floor or from me having to put on my bench.
