This baselayer provides perfect warmth & layers nicely under jeans. I’ve only taken them out as cold as 35^F & though my legs were chilly, it blocked out a significant amount of cold air. The material does not have a lot of give. So, they’re a little tricky if you have big calves. However, they don’t bunch a significant amount. Note, the crotch area is a tiny bit baggy if you can’t get it high enough because of your legs. I tend to run s lot, so my calves are a little thicker (though I have chicken legs), so it makes certain motions a little challenging. I recommend wearing these for casual use & for temps above freezing (>32^F, >0^C). They do fit under jeans and have light support within, but I wear them with briefs; there’s no opening for ‘easy access’. I got a medium, I am a size 30 waist 32 length. Very tight in the lower leg area which can sometimes lead to the waistband falling down. Overall very warm and I am not going to return.

I bought these for use under my ski pants. I have a similar pair about 30 years old and they are getting, well, old. BUT! HELLY HANSEN HAS ELIMINATED THE ESSENTIAL ITEM - THE PEE FLY! I looked, I turned them back to front, and back again. No fly. No fly!? How do they call this a men's garment when you can't get it open for relief, ESPECIALLY when it's under your other garments in the middle of winter? Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb...
