I have a 20-year old Helly Hansen rain jacket I use hiking. It's long, a Medium and has a lot of spare pockets and space--it's almost too big. I wanted to replace it. This rain jacket -- a size Large--was a real tight fit (I'm the same wt/size as I was 20 years ago, yes) and it's a short jacket so it won't protect my derrier & legs like the other one does in pouring rain. Buy a size or 2 bigger so it fits you well. I'm going to look at the other Helly Hansen jackets.

I love the red color & the fit, great quality. I am petite, 5'1" and weight about 120 pounds. I usually wear Small, but based on reviews bought the Medium. I'm glad I did and it fits perfect. Its not too bulky and I still manage to wear a fleece underneath for skiing.

I still have my Helly Hansen rain coat and hood from my merchant marine days, 40 years young and more times to Bristol Bay than I can count. Anyway, this is much lighter weight but looks to be as durable. My wife loves it.

I love the Helly Hansen brand and have purchased several jackets from them. This one however seems to run a bit smaller then the rest! I bought an extra large and it fits more like a tight large. Also the color is nothing like the picture described. It’s more red then anything. Just not what was expected.
