  • Perfect Companion for Radio Programming – Quality and Value!
Style: PC03 USB-A
The BTECH PC03 FTDI Universal Plug & Play is an absolute game-changer for anyone looking to easily program their radio with CHIRP. The quality of this programming cable is top-notch—it’s built to last, with a sturdy and well-designed construction that feels premium. The plug-and-play setup is incredibly simple; just plug it into your computer, and CHIRP recognizes it instantly, making programming a breeze. The price is unbeatable for the quality you get. I’ve tried other cables, but none are as reliable and easy to use as this one. The ease with which I can customize my radio settings and frequencies is a huge time-saver. If you’re into HAM or any type of radio communication, this cable is a must-have for seamless integration with CHIRP. For the price and performance, I highly recommend the BTECH PC03 FTDI cable. It takes all the hassle out of programming and is a fantastic value for anyone looking to get the most out of their radio setup! ... show more

  • It works with Baofeng radios and CHIRP Software.
Style: PC03 USB-A
I have used the regular Baofeng cable but it is very inconsistent when using CHIRP. This cable (PC03 FTDI) works every time.

  • Works well
Style: PC03 USB-A
This is a sturdy PC03 programming cable. I plugged it into my windows 10 machine where it was immediately recognized and the drivers auto installed. Nothing further needed to be done. It plugged solidly into my Baofeng UV-21R and had no issues with programming my handy talkie using the Chirp software. I have now used it many times to program several radios and it worked perfectly every time. I trust the BTECH brand and this is no exception. ... show more

  • Worth the money for a quality FTDI chipset cable
Style: PC03 USB-A
Not much to say here other than if you want to save yourself a lot of headaches and problems then spend the extra money and get the "real-deal" FTDI cable. I have a couple other cables that are radio-specific and opted for the FTDI chipset cables. I haven't had a problem using them on anything from Win 7 to Win 10 (I believe they will even work with Macs but since my MacBook Air is dedicated to updating my iPads and iPhones I didn't see the need to try setting these cables up on that machine when I have a perfectly good HP 2 in 1 laptop that works just fine. If you have, or plan to get more than one radio (and most of you will, especially for the CCR fans) it's just not worth the $13-14 you will save buying a Prolific knock-off cable. With those if you are lucky you might get one to work however unless you have a lot of free time and incredible patience it's just not worth it. Some things in life you get what you pay for and this is definitely one of those cases. The jury is still out so far on the BTech 5X3 I just received yesterday. This cable not only works with that model but is recommended by the seller as the preferred cable for PC programming. It seems like a nice little compact 2M/1.25M/70cm rig but the one thing that still has me hesitant is the antenna situation. I already had the Baofeng A-V85 upgraded 2M/70cm as well as a legit Nagoya 702 2M/1.25M antennas prior to purchasing and the radio comes with 2 antennas to cover either 2M/70cm or 1.25M only. I don't know how well I will like having to routinely swap antennas since I use 1.25M often and after paying $65 for the radio I'm not too crazy about paying yet another $18 for the Nagoya tri-band antenna. I will post a more detailed review on that radio in the appropriate place after I get a chance to do some "real world" testing. Anyways I hope this helps those of you trying to decide on a cable solution for your programming needs. If you see FTDI, it's a winner. If you see Prolific, don't just walk away, run while you still have your cash. BTech does charge a little bit more for their products however in return you get a US Warranty, US Tech Suport and if you for some reason need to exchange your radio depending on if you have Prime or not, you should have a replacement radio in your hands in under a week, not months like when you deal with "rock-bottom price sellers" that everything gets shipped on the "slow-boat" from China. Again, this is a case of getting what you pay for. 73 de KA4WXS ... show more

  • Reliable Plug & Play Cable That Just Works
Style: PC03 USB-A
I recently purchased the BTECH PC03 FTDI programming cable, and it has been a fantastic addition to my radio setup. Unlike the cheaper knockoff cables floating around, this one works flawlessly right out of the box. The drivers installed automatically on my Windows laptop with zero hassle, and I was programming my Baofeng within minutes. The build quality feels solid, and the connection is secure without any wiggling or loose fit. I also appreciate that it’s based on the genuine FTDI chipset…no wasting time trying to troubleshoot driver issues or fighting with compatibility problems. I’ve already used it to program several radios, and every session has been quick and reliable. Overall, this cable delivers exactly what’s promised: plug-and-play convenience with dependable performance. If you’re looking for a stress‑free programming solution for BTECH or Baofeng radios, this is the one to get. ... show more
