I've been sleeping on this for a few months now. I will most certainly sleep this way, on the floor, for the rest of my life whenever possible. First and foremost, your bedroom space is upgraded. This particular mattress folds in thirds. Takes less than 30 seconds to do so for many abled people. This mattress is best stored laying flat and when folded, will take up about 3ish ft by 2ish ft by 2 ft. You can stand it up, but it honestly unravels without ties to hold it together. I stand it up when I have to clean the floor. Comfort: This mattress is pretty comfortable to sleep on. I sleep on it as is; I know some people buy a different mat to put under but that seemed like a lot of work and after 2 months of use, it is not necessary. For me, if I am lying in the same position for a while, that body part will feel sore, but that's the same with every mattress and to me, it's even worse on a soft mattress. Safety: Obviously no falling off the bed. Sometimes, on a high bed when I wake up and get up too fast, I feel lightheaded. I do not have that problem any more on this floor mattress and this is because your legs aren't dangling 3 ft from the rest of your body. Plus, you're always doing at least 2 squats a day. Not ideal for people who undergo major surgery or procedures though. This particular mattress construction: I do not have any other floor mattresses to compare to but this one is again, pretty comfortable, comes with a removable mattress cover so you don't have to worry about buying one separately. It has medium firmness but the firmness comes from the floor, and if the mattress is any firmer it wont be able to fold up as well. Other considerations: You should be rolling up your mattress and alternating the sides where it rests if not every day, at least 3x a week to prevent mold. Being that the mattress is on the floor, it gets more dusty and crumby quicker so you do need to clean the cover a lot more frequently as well as your floor. This is however, not a huge dealbreaker as it promotes hygiene.

The media could not be loaded. Iโve been using the full size Japanese futon mattress for about three weeks at this point. Itโs so comfortable, it feels cozy, and it seems very high quality. I am in my 50โs and used to get up and down all night but Iโm so comfortable with this new set-up, I donโt get up during the night but sleep all the way through :). It hugs and conforms to your body and is very supportive because of the 5-layer structure(microfiber fabric, polyester filling, memory foam, polyester filling and microfiber fabric). Soft and breathable, one of the things I really like is that I can remove the cover to wash. I love how easy is to fold, is portable, comes with bandages, a storage bag, and a mattress cover. It is very versatile can be a sleeping mattress or topper on your bed, a Japanese futon mattress in your bedroom, a yoga mat, a camping mattress, a bed for guests or a play mat for kids.

I have lower back issues. Been worse lately due to an injury. Laying on the floor for my lower back stretches or taking a nap on it help, but it's not comfortable, so i bought this so i wouldn't be directly on the floor, loved it though, had a good nap that left my back feeling good so now it's my permanent bed. Not for side sleepers though to hard for that. It's basically a 3inch floor pad so side Sleeping is uncomfortable. I only have 1 problem with it and it's that the mat/mattress comes with a protective cover specifically for it. I'd like to buy a couple of em in case something happens to the one that came with it but they don't seem to sell em independent of the mat/mattress, really annoying cause normal mattress covers are to big for it.

I don't normally write reviews, but I picked this one because it had over 4 stars. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT 4 inches thick as described in the measurements.. It's less than 3 inches and that includes the seams and top. I have let it lay open with no use for a week waiting for it to finish filling out.. Sadly it did not. I would never buy another one and I won't recommend it to anyone. It says it can be returned, but there is no way to get it folded back into a box.. I am going to see how it goes, however, I feel like it might end up being a really expensive dog bed...

Absolutely love this!!! Bought it for our three person chase lounge couch that has the pull out part that makes it one huge chase lounge aka full size bed. It is not a pull out sleeper couch. Think very sturdy pull out flat platform. We keep the couch pulled out all the time so it is one big lounge/bed spot for us and dogs. The futon is super comfy!!! Holds shape great, always refluffs after each use. We daily sit, lounge and normally fall asleep on it. My 5"4 self unboxed, unwrapped futon all by myself, extremely easy to do. Putting on the futon cover was honestly one of the easiest things I've ever done in my life. The cover zippers come down half way on each side. I have asthma and very sensitive to plastic smells. There were no plastic or any funky weird smells on futon or cover. This also comes with a nice sturdy storage cover. We think come in handy if you use this for camping. Or actually put it away for long term storage. I would rebuy it. I would recommend the futon for how we are using it on a flat raised platform.

I bought this mattress for travel and it is very thick. I ended up not using it for my vacation but it feel sturdy. It looks just like the picture. Very easy to set up and there was only a slight smell. I didnโt need to wait as it inflate quickly. The only downside is the bag that came with the mattress. It was too small and ripped immediately.
