I did not know that vanilla extract could be this good! "Sweet and creamy vanilla" as written on the bottle is every bit as good as it sounds! I put it in several things I make frequently, and it is a very pleasant addition. A total 5 stars - absolutely!!

I could not find alcohol-free vanilla in any local stores, so I searched Amazon and found Heilala. I thought the vanilla would contain propylene glycol, as vanilla is not readily water-soluble. Instead of propylene glycol, a common ingredient in antifreeze, glycerin is used. So many dessert recipes call for vanilla and you can see pieces of vanilla beans in this vanilla instead of just flavored alcohol. I will definitely purchase more of this.

This is the best vanilla flavor I have ever tried. I cannot eat extracts because of their alcohol content. This is a beautiful, fragrant, flavorful vanilla with tons of beans in the solution. Other than being a little pricey, it's perfect!

7/21/20 UPDATE: 👏👏I have now gone through several bottles & am still delighted with all of my baking results👏👏 Ordering more! 5/8/19 Update: Doing a complete 360 from my orginal review acouple of weeks ago, after receiving a surprise bottle of this yesterday—the smell & taste were absolutely heavenly!! Oh how The Universe works in mysterious way!! Thank you—I can bake once again!! Orginal review: After carefully reading tons of these reviews & product questions, I was literally stunned to open the cap & smell this weird, sharp, high-pitched...well..stench🤭 The flavor taste was just as bad...it had to be thrown away & I’m running back to McCormick’s G/F pure extract.

The first bottle I ordered was amazing. Great flavor and aroma. So I was very dissapointed to order my second bottle and receive an awful product. As soon as I opened it I knew something was wrong because it smelled bad. The, what I assume is vanilla, was clumped into large flakes. I then tasted and it tasted kind of like alcohol/chemical and it made my lips numb. Such a let down. I see other reviews here that say they got bad batches too. You would think this company would have cracked down on their quality control by now based on all these negative reviews saying the same thing, but guess not. Two stars because the first batch was great, so I know this product has the potential but they need to be more consistent. I do not want to feel like I'm gambling when shopping for vanilla. Edit: Heilala has sent me a replacement. It is very good. Going from two to four stars because of good customer service. Hopefully that one bad batch was just an anomaly.

I thought I hit the jackpot with this... but it is very messy, doesn't have a whole lot of taste, and I didn't notice much of a vanilla scent. I changed over to a vanilla powder that is much better. The biggest con of this product is the mess it makes! It's pretty bad. Womp, womp....
