  • Super strong and awesome!
Color: One Pack
This review is for the Heavy Duty Steel Fence Post Repair Stakes, 2.8 FT Fence Post Repair Kit, Anchor Ground Spike, for Repair Tilted/Broken Wood Fence Post. Seriously love these things! They are super strong and perfect to repair/stabilize a fence or for a mailbox post! As everybody should know the most vulnerable part of a fence is the part of the posts that is buried into the ground because if they are wood, it will eventually rot out even if it's pressure treated. And if you live in an area with harsh weather/seasons it can be even worse as the ground is wet so much of the year and heaves/drops with the freeze/thaw cycles. Using these to help stabilize things is a viable option much of the time. If building a fence you could also think about only putting every other post into the ground and use these into the ground and connected to the posts not sunk into the ground to make it sturdy. There are many choices for these things on here. Some more expensive, some less. Some are heavier duty, some are bigger/longer, some attach to the post differently... If it helps you secure your fence and keep your kids/pets safe inside and what you don't want on your property out then I think they are a good investment. And do not allow your kids to play swords with these, they have a serious sharp "V" spike point on the end of them. They could cause serious injury. I think these are a great value/buy and very useful to me VS the regular price $25.99 per the listing, and there is a 5% off coupon right now. As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $. ... show more

  • Works well, not for heavy fences
Color: One Pack
I have bought several brands of this type of fence post repair anchor. The style is great - look professionally done once installed. This particular brand was lighter weight than any others I've bought. I don't have a very heavy stockade fence, so it is fine for my purposes, but be aware that this won't support a 6' or 7' wood fence. I have a 4' picket fence, which only sags a bit where I used this, so it worked well for me. I like how this style of anchor is tidy: i don't trip on anything sticking out into the yard when I'm doing yard work. ... show more

  • Easy fix to damaged fence posts
Color: One Pack
This mender is very heavy duty and long. It is better that it is long for more support. You may have to bang it into shape to make it fit to your poles if too far away from base of pole in concrete. Heavy sledge hammer makes it easy to drive these into the ground. Use a impact driver to fasten the bolts to the fence post. I had to remove a few fence boards to get to the area. ... show more

  • Needs to be a further extention distance from post
Color: One Pack
They didn't factor in the cement holding the post. Needs further clearance, i was lucky to only have to put in a 1" shim

  • Easy fix for leaning fence
Color: One Pack
Just what I needed for a sagging fence. Beware that these will not work if the soil around your post is washing away. Hoping that this will buy us a few more years before having to replace the fence. This one seems heavy duty and of good quality. It came with hardware too.

  • Heavy duty
Color: One Pack
This post support is made out of a heavy metal and the stake is sharp enough to pound into the ground fairly easily. The difficult part for me was moving the post into the correct position to be able to pound the stake into the ground on the side of the post that needed the most support, but that's my issue to solve. You see, my mailbox sits on a post by the side of my street. People are always parking, or trying to, in front of or near my mailbox. These same people keep running into my mailbox and the post was leaning rather ominously. I'm hoping that now that it's got some support it will fare better against the next person who fails to navigate my mailbox properly. ... show more

  • These are super solid and strong, but make sure they'll work for your situation
Color: One Pack
I have a post in part of my fence that is rotting away. It is a shared fence with a house that is currently unoccupied and for sale, so I just wanted to stabilize it for the winter until that house sells, and we get a chance to decide what to do about the shared fence. However, if your fence posts are in the ground with concrete that was poured in a mold, then you have a shot. But my fence posts were apparently anchored by digging a big hole, filling it with concrete, and then placing the post. So the concrete extends out too far from the posts for these stakes to work (see my drawing of the issue). So if you're looking to shore up some existing concrete-anchored posts it is worth digging down to find the concrete if it isn't already at the surface, so you can determine if these stakes will work. The concrete can't extend more than about 4.5" from the post for you to be able to use these stakes on an existing post. ... show more

  • Works pretty good
Color: One Pack
So this plus the other fence post correcting device we got are keeping our small section of diving fence from totally collapsing, but they don't work miracles and gravity is still working against us. Here are some thoughts I have about these repair stakes; 1. Sturdy and rigid - I was concerned that they would bend even before I opened the package but actually they are strong. 2. Hardware included - came with everything I needed to use them 3. Easy installation - five minute installation 4. Sorta works - I mean I am asking a small stake to counteract the effects of gravity on a falling fence, so it has sorta slowed the lean but my fence needs something real to latch to near the top, but the bottom couple of feet seem planted now. ... show more
