I finally broke down and purchased a full set of the dryer and particulate filters. I have a major moisture problem with my compressor thats nearly 30 years old now, but is still kicking. These were an instant resolve to my problem. I had a sealing issue with one of the dissicant dryer units, but sorted that out with using yellow gas line Teflon tape that is much thicker than regular plumbers tape. Otherwise these seem to work very well, and hold the pressure at 150 psi without issue. My upcoming projects will test them out from a steady use perspective, but the moisture in the air from the compressor is now totally clean and dry, and my air tools are Grateful! I would recommend these for the weekend warrior DIY use. The pro grade level hardware is for what it is, but these are great for the price. ... show more

I admittedly have this installed too close to the air compressor, but I was tight on space in the compressor room. It does however remove a lot of water from the system before it gets out to the shop. If I would have installed it further away I'm sure it would remove more. I do have drip tees before each regulator and I've only gotten a minuscule amount of water out of the closest drip tee because this unit does what it's intended to do.. remove water. ... show more

Used in a airline system for my shop. Havent ever seen the bowl get filled with anything. Never had any issues with tools. Good peace of mind.

I have this plumbed between my compressor and reserve tank mostly to collect water. It work fine and doesn't leak at the fittings not at the drain on the bottom.

I have not used or installed this water separator yet so I cannot comment on that....I ordered 2 of them because I had read good things about THB brand filters....what I received was 2 identical looking filters to the THB model....but no LOGO THB....so I ask...are they authentic THB or knockoffs......the description photo had the logo and the written description said that the brand was by THB....so wheres the logo..mmmm.....NOT NOT COOL......also beware that these filters do NOT I repeat NOT have the auto empty feature..i reread the description and sure enough said that the drain was manual....not ideal but my mistake...now..how do the filters look qualitywise...pretty good I will admit......look identical to the THB.....want to say that the mounting bracket can mount either side of the filter..excellent so you can face the in and out as you need...very well thought out...kudos for that....final take....looks like a quality product....should be good for my purpose of catching water from air compressor before entering tank...we shall see ... show more

I have used Sharpe water separators for years in my auto body shop but the cost for them has gotten astronomic so trying these as a less expensive alternative. They are used prior to the dessicant dryers to extend the latter's service interval. So far I am very impressed as they remove water very well and are easy to service. Time will tell for certain but from what I see so far, they are a welcome addition and 1/4 the price of the Sharpe 606 series I was using. ... show more
