  • Good value, Birds enjoy it
Number of Items: 18
The birds that frequent my backyard--northern flickers, woodpeckers, steller's jays. spotted towhees and grossbeaks and beyond--seem to enjoy this suet. It seems reasonably priced too. There is often a line of birds waiting for their turn at the feeder so we go through suet pretty quickly.

  • Attracts a variety of birds

It doesn't melt at 94F. It attracts a variety of birds, especially Downy Woodpeckers. It performed well enough for me to order a second box. I wish it had less corn pieces and more sunflower seed pieces.

  • Great product!
Number of Items: 18
I live off the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. I attempt to make ALL the birds here well fed and as safe as I can on my property. This a good product especially during the early months of spring and late fall and winter (when naturally available food may be scarce). My woodpeckers (of all sizes) know exactly where their feeders are AND I think look at me in a strange manner when I haven't kept their feeder full. I'm sure it's only in my mind, but it tends to keep on my toes. Linda ... show more

  • Don’t Buy These!
Number of Items: 18
I am so sorry that I bought these suet cakes. They are truly terrible in every way. Trying to take them out of the package was near to impossible because they would fall apart and crumble. Underneath the feeders is a mess and of no interest to the birds. DON’T BUY THESE!

  • Mystery manufacturer and “Peanut” variety contains only “artificial peanut flavoring”.
Number of Items: 18
Product was listed as manufactured by Heath, but when it arrived, it’s not in Heath’s box and the individual cakes have NO labels or identification on them. The only label is on the box with a “Birdworks” logo and the ingredients list only artificial peanut flavoring in the beef peanut cakes. (I know what Heath’s packaging looks like because I also ordered a 12-pack of the Peanut cake and it arrived well-marked.) I gave it 2 stars because it may still be eaten by the birds. If not, I’ll reduce the rating to one. If this is a Heath product, then it should say so ... not “Birdworks”. It should also clarify that “peanut” is just artificial flavoring. ... show more
