I bought these for my mom. she lost one of her 3700$ fancy shmancy hearing aids, and with insurance they wanted 500$ as a deductible to replace one. Fortunately she found the missing hearing aid, so in the interim I found her these. she uses them from time to time and with all the mask mandates, they are easier than the behind the ear fancy shmancy 3700 dollar ones she got from the ear doc. These work ok (I have tried them), but they are prone to get feedback (thus the reasonable price). You move them around a bit in your ear and they are good for a while. Sometimes for reasons unknown to me, they just start feeding back. I have good ears and can hear them feeding back from across the room. And watching my mom jump up in her seat is kinda funny too (ok maybe a little cruel of me, but still funny). Also I told my mom to cup her hand over the hearing aid and if it feeds back, then they are on. if they don't, then the battery is dead. the only real draw back is the volume control is SOOO small and hard to turn, they are very difficult to adjust just right. Overall for the price they are fine. if you need hearing aids and don't want to, or can't fork out thousands of dollars, these could do the trick for you. ... show more

As many of you might have the same hearing issue, I did some research and found the RoofWorld and based on the reviews decided to try these out. At the price I figured not a huge loss if they didn't work out. They did take a bit of tweaking with the volume to get it so it wasn't too loud and did not make the horrible screech when I got anything next to the microphone. But I must say after that it was amazing. Things I didn't hear I do now. I no longer have to continue to say WHAT or sorry can repeat. The worst was responding and finding out that was not what was asked. I spoke t o my sister in-law who also has the same problem, she order herself a pair immediately. One issue is that the batteries that came with the amplifier died after 1 day. So I would suggest you also purchase the 6 pack batteries when you place your order. ... show more

When you put them in your ears you hear ringing. When you take them out YOU STILL HEAR RINGING BUT IT'S WORSE THAN BEFORE. and when you put them in your ear EVERYTHING is louder so you don't just hear someone talking but you hear the dishwasher, the t.v. and you hear the other people. It's just an all round bad product. I would never had bought it if I was able to try it first.!!! ... show more

They are only amplifiers and don't have any discrimination. It's almost impossible to hear someone through the background noise in a restaurant. They are very susceptible to feedback.
