My son has a hearing aid that is Super expensive and a few weeks ago he lost it. To replace it is a whole hassle with insurance and i wanted to try anything so hes not at a loss for several weeks. without it. So I saw this and tried it. No, its not a perfect replacement. This was much larger than the one he has and he said it helped a lot although the other is more clear. We now found the lost one although he has used this for a week. It did help him get through. I tried it and found it does pick up sound pretty far. Although I don't have anything wrong with my hearing so I am probably not the best to ask.

These were clearly advertised with tinnitus masking mode, but arrived with no clear tinnitus settings. Only settings were noisy environments and quiet environment. Noisy environment only dampened external noise. Also they squeal like mad if the slightest seal break occurs. My tinnitus is maddening and the squealing from the seals is just painful.
