I used to use a standard cloth mouse pad from Razer, called the Razer Goliathus. But they don't make them in that style anymore, they upgraded it. Frankly, I was tired of the mouse surface getting so incrusted with dust, the movement started getting rough, and the pad surface was wearing away. I can't believe how much big name brands like to charge for a mouse pad just like this one! As soon as I plugged this mouse pad in, I immediately fell in love with it. What I love most about the LED system, is you don't have to install drivers like on some other brands, in order to change the colors. Its all hardware based, each time you press the button on the top unit, it changes the color, or animation mode. The LED's are bright but not too bright, although some might differ, as it all depends on personal preference. I apologize for not taking the best pictures, I didn't feel like setting up my tripod. The top surface of the mouse pad is cloth, and its the softest cloth I have ever felt on a mouse pad, in my life! My Razer Deathadder Elite mouse just glides over it so smoothly, I love it! The bottom of the mouse pad is rubber, it prevents the pad from moving around. The mouse pad is 13.2" wide by 9" tall. For this price, I can't recommend this mouse pad enough! If your in the market for a new mouse pad, for gaming, or anything else honestly, this is the one to go with. 5 out of 5 stars!

I've never used a hard mousepad before, but this has made me a fan. My mouse just effortlessly glides along this mat, and the edges are just barely raised up to give you feedback when you reach the end of your pad, without being an annoyance if your wrist rests on the edge. The build quality, is very very surprising for this price point. The whole thing is one sheet of metal, in which the rest of the pad is built onto. There is no flex, it's very rigid, the connector where the power cable goes into is all metal as well, and the cable itself is nicely braided and not stiff. Now onto the swag. By default, it's a slow color changing pattern, then each tap of the button located just below the mousepad's tail, will cycle solid colors, then a few RGB patterns before turning off. The effect of the lighting is very nice, and from the right angle, it has that fiber optic LED in plastic look. It's not too over the top, and just as a mousepad, it's worth the price tag. It'll fit anyone's favorite color theme, a few examples I've provided! Highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. I actually wasn’t expecting to like this thing as much as I do. Its ample size is really helpful to me because I run two separate computers and two mice. The construction seems premium... everything is aligned and solid and flat. This is my first smooth, stiff-metal-base mouse pad and it’s a revelation. I should have been using one of these a long time ago. I love the way the mice glide so effortlessly and efficiently. From other reviewers I was worried that my mouse cord might get tangled on the housing at the top, but he doesn’t. The RGB is nice and fun, but except on special occasions I’ll probably just keep it a solid color or off. All in all, I’m impressed and very glad I bought this thing.
